Salisbury is one of England's most atmospheric cities with lots of ancient buildings and sites of interest several of which, including the excellent museum are in this fabulous area of green lawn and tranquility.
By being a Salisbury local, I have the pleasure of being able to enjoy the lovely views and serene atmosphere within the grounds of The Close, whenever I have the chance to pop by.

We walked from our B&B - Cathedral View on Exeter St. to the dedicated bus stop to catch the Stonehenge tour bus.
The footpath around Stonehenge is well cordoned off from the stones themselves, therefore protecting them, but the path is clear, wide and safe giving great views of the stones themselves from all around.
