- ironman16Manchester, UK152 contributionsMust visit museum in Brecon, home to Welsh regiment and Gurkhas. I'm a big fan of the movie Zulu (although not 100% historically accurate) and madly interested in the whole history of Anglo Zulu war histor. Packed full of exhibits, war medal room, amount and a room dedicated to the battle of Rourke's drift in 1879. The dioramas were amazing. Made me very reflective of the impact of war and the sacrifices made by So many as well as the individual stories. So glad I finally made it here.Written 25 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Julie LMerthyr Tydfil, UK89 contributionsVisited here to see a show and was pleasantly surprised how nice the theatre is . Were seated on the balcony and had a great stage view .
The seats are quite comfortable and you have a cup holder so you can take drinks in .
The loos were clean and quite a few so not much time waiting for those.
Just 1 thing could do with a lift though was offered alternative seating downstairs as I use a stick .
The interlude drinks idea is great as you don’t have to stand and wait at bar. Though the prices are a bit steep.
The staff are helpful and welcoming.

- SouthamptonUKAndy22Southampton, UK419 contributionsNot signed so this will be an accidental find or a planned visit. Can be added to a circular tour while in the Brecons. If you are into stones add it into visit list worth a stop and walk across to it as larger than it looksWritten 20 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Hampshirehogs21Southampton, UK118 contributionsKnowledgeable staff and so friendly. We picked up an excellent free walking map of Brecon which shows just how much the town has to offer.
River, canal, boat trip, museum, art gallery, cathedral, and Gurkha restaurant (recommended). We missed the Regimental Museum but think that is worth seeing.

- Charlotte Lucy LewisNeath, UK81 contributionsThis place is wonderful! They have so much on they have shows, animal holding, slides my children love it here.
It’s dog friendly but not in the barns so would need someone to hold the dog if you have kids and want to go inside the barns.
There is a lovely soft play inside and role play also

We visited today and made a purchase , but my wife and I were made very welcome and given professional advice to answer our questions eloquently . We were allowed to take our time to peruse the content and also enjoy the experience. Gemma offered to hold and display certain pictures which we had narrowed down in our selection process and view from a greater distance , which provided us an enhanced view from a different angle. We were offered a cup of coffee and a piece of cake whilst we made our decision. Overall made a purchase and we’re very excited to return home from the Ardent gallery having revived top drawer customer service from Gemma. Strongly recommend this lady and the gallery.Written 28 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Hampshirehogs21Southampton, UK118 contributionsDon't walk by this great pillared building containing art gallery, museum and library. It is all free to enter. Entry is through the pleasant garden at the rear.
There is a courthouse on the ground floor which is stunning. Take a photo. Helpful lady on reception for the museum gave us an idea of what to expect and the place is a gem. So interesting with Victorian displays, a wooden boat, various artefacts and memorabilia. All beautifully displayed with information. A well spent hour+ indeed.Written 21 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Despite some unreasonably cold and wet weather it was a brilliant 5 days. I loved my horse, Monty, and seeing the beautiful scenery. Definitely a ride for experienced riders: fast gallops, long trots, rocketing canters, even some jumps.
