There is a lot more to this than just the ship, which of course is spectacular, the story and museum/exhibition are exceptional and incredibly informative.

The staff are amazing, especially Jimmy, who is an absolute credit to the place. He is a lovely chap and very knowledgeable.

This is a must see when visiting Dundee, give yourself a couple of hours to properly learn everything in the exhibition to appreciate everything before actually touring around the ship.

Please visit and spend as much as you can in there to ensure this is preserved for future generations.

Very interesting museum. Had a snack in cafe on arrival, had breakfast deal, really tasty, freshly cooked. Museum, well set out informative, lots of films and stuff for kids. Spent a few hours looking round. Plenty of parking just round the corner. Well worth a visit.

HMS Unicorn is a gem tucked away further along the dock away from RRS Discovery but just as good. Historically fascinating and staff’s interactions + willingness to talk to you in providing additional information and facts was excellent. We spent a good 2hrs there and glad we made the effort to visit.

Everything was excellent but some of the equipment was broken or just hard to use. Turns out I need 100 characters, goodbye.

The member of Staff who talked to us was fantastic! He was so knowledgeable, engaging and all round brilliant! I couldn’t recommend this castle and museum highly enough. If you go I hope you meet him and you won’t be disappointed.

Fantastic. Learn all about how jute is grown in India and why it then came to Dundee and became such an important industry. The Verdant Works was built in 1833 and by 1864 had 70 power looms and 2,800 spindles and was employing 500 workers involved in spinning and weaving jute. The industry employed 50,000 in the city at its peak. By 1889 though this mills time as a true textile works is over. The staff are friendly and helpful and it was lovely to see some of the machines working and be able to ask questions. See the architecture of the building from the viewing platforms and enjoy the different displays and the mighty 1801 steam beam engine. There's also a lovely cafe and gift shop though it would have been good to see some more jute made items. We got a combined ticket with Discovery which made it extra good value. Free parking next door for visitors.

On the 9th of May we came here for a day of activities as part of our last year of primary school. It was super fun with lots of things to do. There was a variety of play equipment and different areas so we were spaced out. No one had to hang around waiting for their turn to have a go.
There was a grass area by the play park perfect to play football, however the grass was too long and we ended up not playing.
We were very impressed with how clean the park was. There was no litter in the play area nor dog poo on any of the paths or grass areas!
The toilets were open and very clean! We were surprised with our modern and clean they looked.
Unfortunately we were disappointed that the shop was closed and we didn't have a chance to buy an ice cream.
We would most certainly go back!

Beautiful building from the outside. The surrounding areas are also amazing. We were slightly disappointed with the inside, not as much to see as we thought there might be, considering the size of the building. Alot of large empty space. The gallery's that we did see had some interesting things but we didn't spend as much time inside as we thought we might.

. . . Desperate Dan in the sunshine this time, with children clambering all over him for photos. A great magnet in the Square, attracting lots of attention.
