Awesome tour and tasting at Kingsbarns
We had an private tour on Friday 24th November. Our guide was Neil. An enthusiastic man who told us everything about the origins of Kongsbarns and the making of whisky. after that we had a tasting of delicious Kingsbarns whiskies. Despite the fact that it is still a young distillery, a visit is definitely worth it

A fun way to learn more about gin
I did the Darnley’s gin making course with four other friends and we had a great time. We were given a big welcome from the moment we arrived and Aaron and Dot were knowledgeable and fun guides/hosts.
The Darnley’s Cottage is a lovely facility and Aaron, Darnley’s gin distilling maestro, explained the process clearly and got us straight into selecting our selections of botanicals to create our own unique bottles of gin.
While our stills were doing their work, Dot gave us a fun and interesting background talk on gin and Darnley’s and a tasting of their gins.
This was a really fun way to spend an afternoon and we’d highly recommend it. Of course we also each took home our unique 70cl bottles of gin too and my recipe is still with Darnleys so I can order more of it in future if it becomes my new favourite!

Halloween Virtual Gin Tasting
We took part in the Halloween Virtual Gin Tasting Saturday 31st October. Adam was our host. He was engaging, funny and had a great knowledge of the subject.

The presentation of the gins was excellent and the tasting did not disappoint. This is an excellent purchase for any gin lover and made for a fun night in.

This is probably the best virtual gin tasting there is. Can’t recommend this enough.
