Richard was very knowledgeable and we were able to see some of the Dunhill tournament. We learned a lot about golf and a lot about the course and Richard was a joy to be with.

The audio tour is found on Getyourguide and was very good. We were able to split it up over a couple of days. There is lots of walking, but it's mostly level and somewhat shaded. Beautiful scenery along the Ness. We were a group of 4, so we just bought the one package and shared to instead of separate headphones. There was construction at the cathedral downtown and that messed up the directions a bit but we eventually found our way. This was better than some other tours because we could go at our pace and stop along the way for shopping or eating, etc.

Michael our guide for the day was amazing. Very knowledgeable about the history of Scotland. We lucked out with the rain. Saw some really cool sites in and around St. Andrews. Would definitely recommend.

Great tour and history lesson of the town. We were able to get a good feel, for the town and the Uni, even though out of term.

We had an awesome day with Graham. He customized our port day tour just for us. On a very limited schedule, we were able to visit both Edinburgh and St.Andrews with a luncheon stop for fish n' chips along the way. We saw beautiful scenery, historical areas , AND, our friend's favorite,...The Old Course at St.Andrews! Graham even arranged to have a golf club on hand for photo ops! The day ended with a beautiful Scottish serenade from Graham, Well done!

Where to start... this was an amazing experience with Experienced Tours and our guide, Alan.

We arrived in Ediburgh on our Viking cruise early in the morning and were greeted by very thick fog. Viking did not allow any tenders to go out. Of course, we and our friends were anxious about making our scheduled time with Alan. After waiting on the ship for 3 1/2 hours, the fog lifted enough for us to catch a tender to the port.

Waiting for us in his traditional kilt attire, Alan greeted the 4 of us and we had a discussion about what we could accomplish in the smaller amount of time we had for the day. Our main goal, being avid golfers, was to see St. Andrews. Alan thought that perhaps we only had time to see the city of Edinburgh, but then looked at his watch and calculated that we could actually do it. So we quickly headed out into the country, and we made it to the course for pictures, a stop in the pro shop and a drive through the picturesque town.

As I had planned this excursion with Sandy of Experienced Tours well over a year, our expectations and excitement to see St. Andrews was at the very top of our excursion list on this 15-day cruise. Sandy and Alan did not disappoint. In fact, on the way back to the ship we still had a little bit of time to drive around Edinburgh and had a "wee" bit of whiskey back at the port!

We highly recommend Sandy and his company for any excursions in the Edinburgh area. We will always be grateful for the amazing day they provided us.

It was an excellent, fantastic and most enjoyable tour. Richard Falconer was very knowledgeable, professional, friendly, helpful and always came up with suggestions/ideas to enable me to make the most of my tour as well as to plan my tours effectively. For example, Richard was with a tour group when he bumped into me in St Savlatore Hall and he suggested I join them there and then to go into the St Salvatore's chuch as it would be closed by the time I did my evening tour. Also when I was booking my tours, Richard pointed out that I was booking more tours than I needed and advised me which tours would already cover everything I needed. And during the tours, Richard was a superb tourguide, making my day so interesting, informative, fun and enjoyable too! I highly recommend Richard and his tours!

During my families trip to Scotland we scheduled a private driving tour from Edinburgh to St. Andrews. The entire experience with Iconic tours from start to finish was absolutely perfect. I engaged with Will to answer some initial questions and also to confirm the booking. Will was very responsive, very efficient and worked with us to customize our driving tour. Scott was our tour guide for the driving tour and was absolutely amazing. I have had a dozen+ different tour guides during my trips to Europe and I can say Scott was the best tour guide I have ever had. He was extremely knowledgeable, flexible, funny and engaging. We had lots of great conversation during the entire tour, it was great!! I will always cherish the memory of our trip to St. Andrews, it was an amazing experience and Iconic Tours was a huge part of what made that day so special.

Martin was an amazing guide. Not only did he take us to St Andrew’s, which was a must see for my husband, he took us to several other stops during the day that we wouldn’t have considered and were quite enjoyable-the best of which was taking us to a local farm to feed highland cows. Martin was really fun, had great stories and was one of the highlights of our 2 week trip to Scotland.
