Minimal charges applied to enter this beautiful spot ( £3 for two adults ) and we were then transported back in time by the peaceful setting. We walked around the Loch and just revered in the clear water and bird song. The castle ruins are on an island in the middle of the Loch an easy photo away. The walk is easy even for those who have mobility issues.

We took the lunch trip which included soup and a sandwich. We had a choice of 2 soups and about 4 or 5 choices of sandwiches (freshly made on the train) and Tea, coffee or soft drink. There was also a wine and drinks menu to purchase other drinks. The whole trip was really good - happy memories made

Great morning with the kids at the fishery. The aptly named Rod and the other young lad (sorry, didn’t see a name) were exceptionally helpful.

The kids caught a lovely trout each and I was glad they had to work a bit for it so they learnt the patience is worth it.

Saw an Osprey passing and enjoyed the cracking views too.

    Recommended.

We were lucky and got a nice sunny day. Various well marked choices of walks. The loch is just stunning. We had coffee, panini and scone at the cafe on the beach. People were very friendly. Top tip - take change with you. The car park only takes cash and gives no change.

Visited today with friends - 4 adults, 2 three year olds and 2 babies. Have been multiple times before over the last three decades and it didn’t disappoint. Hardly any queues (mid week) and discounted rate as a few attractions closed. Lots for the wee ones to do and adults were well amused as well. Love the water slides as ever. Nice coffees and cakes. We’ll be back before too long!

I visited on an autumnal Monday morning, and parked at the visitor centre car park. There were plenty of spaces - I believe you could get a hot drink here too, but I'm not sure it was open. There's a variety of trails - I opted for the yellow one, about 45 minutes of walking, which took me down to the loch. A very easygoing walk - perfect way to start my day. There is another cafe on route, and toilets, so plenty of options. I'd visit again, and probably spend more time in the area.

Although weather not good we went on the hill walk up the Cairngorms to see the reindeer...we had done it many years previous, but wanted to do it again as we were staying in the area...It was a great experience, our two guides were amazing, taking into consideration our ages...75 and 83.....They were very informative, telling us all about the reindeer and answering any questions thrown at them....seeing all the new born calves too was a bonus....would highly recommend this outing with an amazing company, if you are in the area, go for it!

We’d never heard of it despite multiple visits. Maybe a 50 min walk from the visitor centre on well maintained paths that are suitable for cycling.
The green loch is relatively small but incredible to see.
    A must visit

I would recommend going there at the very start of your trip, especially if you had a more spontaneous trip like me. The staff was very helpful and gave me useful information.

I have cycled on sections of the Speyside Way which is excellent. The signposting is great and the surfaces well maintained and good for cycling. The countryside is stunning.

Very scenic indeed. Day one and it was stream but after a night's worth of rain it was a stormy river and made for some great photos. We were also treated to 'Spud' the Scotsman playing the bagpipes on top of the bridge. We stayed opposite the bridge and I went to view it every day.

This is a lovely walk and a good introduction to long distance walking. There is one stretch between Ballidolloch and Cromdale where the trail is impossible to find. I'd recommend the alternative route on the B9102 there, But otherwise very well marked and just stunning.
