- Seamus ODublin, Ireland251 contributionsWe always head out here when visiting Nenagh. It is a great authentic Irish bar - old world charm with modern twists. Great pint - lovely cocktails - spotless clean with charming bar and lively atmosphere in the beer garden area. Everyone enjoys its mixed features. Great friendly staff - very high quality service unusually sophisticated for an Irish pub.Written 9 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - nolajackieNew Orleans, LA81 contributionsOur B&B host recommended McCarthy’s for a bite to eat and a pint. This is not your average pub food. Fried mushroom starter with a sesame batter and butter garlic sauce. Then homemade lasagna that didn’t really look like lasagna but was one of the best lasagnas I’ve ever tasted. Service was great and owner checked on us a couple of times. We chatted with Jasper at the end of the meal and learned about the pub/undertaker business. A great welcome to Ireland!Written 12 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Ikey S4 contributionsVisited from the United Stated on 10/26/22. Just a wonderful place that ends up being a collection of local musicians on a Weds night. “The Monk” is the owner and a local legend. “Puddly” is a member of the staff and a delightful gent who will make you feel straight at home and ease. A terrific fella to be sure. All and all, a splendid pub that should not be missed. Thanks to you all from Indiana, USA.Written 26 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
