An amazing day with great guide (Theo). Wine tastings informative and the scenery amazing. Bike ride was quite easy given mostly down hill.

This was a great tour in every way. If I must pick a favorite thing it would be Emmanuel—our guide. He was fun, informative, patient and very considerate of our interest in the wines and the area. All of the wineries were very generous and gracious, we had a great lunch and made new friends. The wines we tasted were exceptional. I would gladly take this tour again.

My husband and I, along with our two adult children and my mother-in-law had a wonderful time with David, our guide/driver. He picked us up in Reims and we spent the next 2 days exploring Chablis and Burgundy. The trip as FANTASTIC! We are avid wine lovers/collectors and have traveled to many wine regions around the world, but had. It been to Burgundy. David made the experience unforgettable. He is so knowledgeable about the wine and the region and it was just a treat to spend time with him. We will definitely be back and would recommend him to anyone interested in a First Class experience! Thanks, David!!

There is so much to learn about the Burgundy region winemaking and history. Our guide Paul was a wealth of knowledge. Great tour!

We were staying in a vacation rental north of Lyon while attending the Women’s World Cup and had initially wanted to take a Beaujolais Wine Tour on one of the off-days. Unfortunately, we couldn’t find a tour or private tour guide that wasn’t already booked. As a result, we moved further North and started looking at Burgundy wine tours. Luckily by-chance, we booked The Wines of Burgundy Day Tour with Pieter Smits. We had a wonderful tour with Pieter as we visited several villages, chateaus, and wineries. Not only were we able to sample some fine wines but Pieter also selected a restaurant where we had a great lunch. Pieter is very engaging and knowledgeable which helped make the tour very enjoyable. It's an experience I will always remember.

My wife and I were 100% satisfied and the tour exceeded our expectations.

The customer service was excellent as was the tour vehicle.

We enjoyed the tastings very much.

We cannot express our thanks enough to Chef Hubert. He was wonderful, professional, knowledgeable, and had a great sense of humor. We did not realize our guide would be a chef, and to have someone as experienced and well traveled as Chef Hubert was great. His knowledge of the regions, history, grapes and teaching us how to choose and pair wines was an absolute joyous education. All of the food choices he made were wonderful as was the choice of restaurant to have lunch.

We hope to return to the area many more times!

Had a great afternoon out with Melanie who was our guide for the day. The weather wasn’t the best when we started so we weren’t able to enjoy the roof off 2CV experience but the car none the less was very French and certainly suited the occasion. The back seat I’m assured by wife and daughter was s comfortable as a couch so they were very happy.
We spent some time cruising around the vineyards and small villages of Beaune, with Melanie providing us with some great information on the wine making and history of the region. We stopped at a small wine maker in Mersault and tasted a number of their wines went through their wine making process and cellars. They were actually very good so we bought a couple to take with us.
On the return trip the weather was better so we dropped the top and did a more more sight seeing of Grand Cru vineyards.
It was a wonderful day made all the more special by Melanie and her wonderfully French 2CV!

It is not often that I write trip advisor reviews, but I feel sometimes an experience really warrants it. This was one of those times.

A friend and myself had the pleasure of being shown round the region by Joy. Three things struck me throughout the tour. The first was the knowledge and passion that she had for the wine, vines, and area in general. Her knowledge was unmatched. The second was her eagerness to impart her knowledge and excitement onto members of the tour. You could feel her passion for the wine and got the sense that she wanted members of the group to be more informed and passionate about it as well. Last but not least, it was abundantly clear that she had genuine relationships with the farmers and domain owners and staff we met. I got the sense that during their time in Burgundy, Joy and her husband had not just formed business relationships with these individuals, they had become genuine friends. In every place we went, she was recognised and met with smiles, and more often than not, the owner or sommelier would go into the back looking for a bottle of the really good stuff.

With most wine tours, you expect to walk away with a little more knowledge than you had before, but this tour was something a little more special. I walked away feeling as though I had gone through an induction, not just into the wine but into the culture and community of Burgundy itself.

A truly unique experience which I would highly recommend.

P.S the lunch was also excellent!

We were in the group with a great Brazilian family, very funny father. The girl showing us around, Charlie, did a great job of explaining the different clima's, soils and of course Simone the mistress. The wine tasting room was very spacious and luxurious. The chateau was undergoing a lot of construction, which made the outside look a bit messy but inside it was no problem. Great experience!

Our private wine tour was amazing. Pieter was an excellent guide. He was knowledgeable, organized, and fun to talk to. Pieter picked the four of us up from our hotel in Beaune in the morning, drove us in his car to two wineries, a delicious lunch, and then two more wineries. Pieter then dropped us back at our hotel in the early evening.
We drove through the beautiful Burgundy wine country and learned about the different classifications of wine and what to look for when purchasing a Burgundy wine. It was so nice to have someone who knew the area pick out which wineries to visit, schedule the visits...we were just along for the ride.
At each winery, we were not pressured to buy bottles, but when we did (and we certainly did!), Pieter kept track of everything. After we left France, Pieter organized the shipment of our wines from each winery. Our bottles arrived at our apartment in NYC four weeks after we got home, everything we ordered in perfect condition. I could not more highly recommend this wine tour with Pieter!

Inspiring and inspirational visit in the Burgund-world-of-bubbles. Cremant de Bourgogne is to me a very nice bottle of sparkling wine - and here an excellent and informative presentation of the "story behind the bottle" Great place.
