- LesleySwanley, UK161 contributionsA lovely little beach and clear water. The kids enjoyed swimming and looking at the fish. The only issue we had…. We went on a Sunday by taxi from Cala Esmerelda. We tried to get a taxi back and was told 2 1/2 hours wait at least. Our hotel tried to help but got similar times quoted. So the only advice was to walk. So the three of us set off in over 30 degrees heat with 1/3 of a bottle of water between us. Luckily for us a traveller stopped to ask directions to the beach and I managed to also add we had to walk back. A few minutes later he turned round and offered a lift. I did warn my teens we wouldn’t do this any other time! Be warned, if you are in a hired car leave nothing of any value. We were broken into twice on two separate days in this car park. Nothing stolen (as nothing in car) but every car was broken into, the driver's door crowbarred open ( look for a nick in door at top of window) it is money they are after . One car today lost 600 euros. Shame
This is a direct target on hired cars. It would be good if a police sign was up to warn visitors.

(Not sure which days, sorry) Lots of free maps of other birding places to visit .
I enjoyed the paths away from the road with parked up cars (less dog evidence)
I heard nightingale in the pines at top end of park. Saw kite, little egret, grey herons
The entrance is down the side street, just after the bridge on left.
