- Emma C4 contributionsAbsolutely Beautiful. Highly recommend. We visited by bus from Cala egos. The bus stop is right there which was perfect. Picnic benches , good space on the beach and good walks around.Written 9 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Peter RHolland-on-Sea, UK5 contributionsWhat an amazing find! From the road, it appears as a small area, away from the road. When we went inside, it expanded into a large area with thirty free roaming ostriches. And the best part, you can feed them (a bowl of food on entry with the ticket, but you can also buy more bowls of food). There are information points around the edge of the grazing land and the birds are inquisitive and eat from your hands. This family owned farm was an absolute joy. There is lovely area to have a coffee next you the birds too. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.Written 9 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Keswick7bLeeds, UK65 contributionsSmall car park on M12 on right after bridge over Canal Siurana (Gran Canal) when coming from Alcudia. If full then park on nearby street. 1km walk to visitor centre- toilets. No cafe and picnics not allowed.
Four signposted trails of between 11km and 725m. Lots of bird hides. We didn’t see many birds but very calm and tranquil place.Written 9 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Food was ok but the bird show no longer exists. Nice day out but the steps are dangerous so be careful and wear good shoesWritten 28 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LisaMarieSykesMajorca, Spain289 contributionsMarvellous day out with stunning beaches and amazing landscape. On the boat trip from Colonia de Sant Jordi you get around 4-5 hours free time in Cabrera. Don't miss the views from the castle, but otherwise just head to the beaches, which are the highlight of Cabrera. The views from anywhere on the island are just stunning and the stop at the Blue Cave on the boat trip on the way back to Mallorca is wonderful.
Make sure you take food and LOTS of water because there is only one bar on the whole island and they don't offer very much. It it always feels hotter on Cabrera than on Mallorca so make sure you have hat, sun cream and water. Wear comfy shoes for walking because the pathways are very rocky and uncomfortable on the feet.Written 23 January 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Parking: road from Artà to Ermita de Betlem until you see signs of the Parc (then simply follow the signs).Written 28 June 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Pete225715 contributionsLovely walk through the nature reserve north of Cala Ratjada. The climb to the ruin of the watchtower Talaia de Son Jaumell (278m) is strenuous, the descend to the "Caribbean-style" beach of Cala Mesquida is very steep and not for the faint-hearted. It is very sad to see how some people have no respect for the nature and common areas. Signposts have been graffitied and vandalised, rubbish dumped and people's feces and toilet paper right at the walking track. If you prefer to have a more relaxed walk, then just take the track straight through the pine wood.Written 30 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - G Tea3 contributionsTry going when very helpful staff there to help with what you might see. (Not sure which days, sorry) Lots of free maps of other birding places to visit .
I enjoyed the paths away from the road with parked up cars (less dog evidence)
I heard nightingale in the pines at top end of park. Saw kite, little egret, grey herons
The entrance is down the side street, just after the bridge on left.
Found quite few wild flowersWritten 22 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Great viewing of lagoons, lots of birds though summer maybe not the best time. Butterflies and dragonflies and so many different plants. Surprisingly peaceful, very enjoyable.
.
Worth looking carefully at the map before setting off and perhaps using two evenings to visit different parts of the site.Written 10 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Seeing a huge river magically come out of the ground has to be seen to be believed. Bizarre not to see this listed in English guides like Lonely Planet.Written 6 December 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
