- chrissyDerbyshireWhaley Bridge, UK835 contributionsI know lots of people who did this about 30 years ago and it was a lovely (and uncrowded) experience. I think for kids it is a must do just as it was for my sister with a learning disability. There is a quaint little cafe at the railway station in Palma and on a Saturday there is a market on in the morning where you get off the train in Soller to get the tram ( like most spannish markets it packs up about 2pm so if you want to shop don't leave it till you are on your way back as it won't be there). I bought our tickets online 7 days before, wanted a weekday really but due to logistics of our own ended up having to book the Saturday. Worth noting is the fact that you are not allowed to change your train time on the day, you can only travel back at your booked ticket time. Also at Palma the toilets are only available once you go through the barrier. The train at Palma started letting people on board a good 25 minutes before departure which was fine..... the trams (both ways) and the train coming back were an absolute free for all on the way back and I have never seen so much pushing and shoving in my life!... this is my only reason for 4 stars, just far too many people. Try and pick what you think may be the quietest day. Peurto Soller is beautiful and I would love to stay there next time. Conclusion.... I did this for my sister and it was so worth it to see her smiling all day watching trains and trams etc. As an adult would I do this again?... no, far too much pushing shoving / queueing / hanging about.Written 26 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Paul and his wife made us feel really welcome. Had entertainment on every night then Karaoke with Pete who is really entertaining. - HK_MojlnirLondon, UK9 contributionsGroup of 6 in their 20s. Visited on a Wednesday night.
10 euro entry but you can chose any one cocktail on the menu. (this could be due to the new laws of no "all you can drink deals" and happy hour deals. - would be great to get a comment from the venue about this)
Security at entry was friendly, in true brit fashion we arrived just after 12 following pre-drinks, the place was not packed at all. Bar service was a bit slow, possibly due to everyone getting their free cocktail at once and there only being at maximum 3 bartenders.
Not much else to say really! Just a solid place to start your night out!
Shot sellers- when I say I need the tray, I need the tray. One of the guys had me move over two seats so he could sit someone else in my seat just cause he wanted to. then I found out she paid 40 bucks for her and her 4 yr. Old. Staff is not friendly at all. No smiles, no " hi welcome or thank you for coming". All they want is your money and they use the kids. 10 dollars for a picture with a mechanical gorilla that is taken with your camera. Not a great experience, I couldn't recommend it.Written 17 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Doug H16 contributionsOutstanding, intimate Flamenco experience. We were blown away with the quality of the performance. Tapas portions were generous. This was a highlight of our travels in Spain.Written 23 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- saronicZurich, Switzerland28,818 contributionsIn the southern part of Pollença is a sight worth visiting: the cloister of the former Dominican Convent with arcades supported by Ionian inspired columns. It is a work of the early 17th century. The Dominican Order stayed here till 1833, then the building went to the town of Pollença with many different uses over the years.
Today the cloister is known for the setting of the Pollença International Classic Music Festival with performances of often famous musicians every August. The festival was founded in 1962 by Manchester born violonist Philip Newman, who is honoured here with a memorial plaque. Only 4 years later he died on Mallorca from a heart attack.
At the former convent is also the Pollença tourist information and the regional museum.Written 25 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
