What travellers are saying
- Simon GReigate, UK44 contributionsPlayed Alcanada on the first day of a 5 day tour and it didn't disappoint. It is placed by many as the No.1 course in Majorca, which is debatable but a very good course.
It has without doubt some of the best views that i have experienced around the world, it is quite spectacular.
The course was in good condition and a wonderful layout, some really great holes. Greens were rather slow but in very nice condition. Half way hut was great, ideally positioned between a number of holes and just after a 600+ yard par 5 !!
The welcome was very good, a caddy master giving us a short talk about the up coming challenge tour final and the slightly longer rough. Range was probably one of the best i have been too overseas, with top tracer on each bay which is a very good idea. Club house was comfortable with a beautiful terrace.
The only gripe is that we arranged dinner after the round and were told to hurry up and leave as they had a private party that evening, this was around 8pm so it was hardly late. Thankfully our coach driver came a little early but we all felt it let the experience down.
Overall its a must for anyone visiting the island.Written 9 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Colin OSouth Darenth, UK54 contributionsA lovely course in great condition my favourite out of Son Quint and Son Mutaneer A lot of different holes with a few holes with water which i found. We teed off at 220 but didn’t have enough buggies for us and the previous group of golfers. Staff were all very apologetic about the situation and cleaned our clubs after our game. The only other problem was that the bar shut at 730pm but was given another one for the road before they closed. Course was in great condition Greens were true and receptive Course is surrounded by lots of expensive houses and apartments all in all i give the course 7.5/10 Thanks we had a great day Food was decent and beer was CruzcampoWritten 14 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Roger MNottingham, UK92 contributionsA decent golf course, front nine is the older of the two nines and more mature. The greens very good, fairways very patchy and tees not great. Very friendly, lovely clubhouse and the hired irons were not bad at all, Cleveland xl high launch.
We made the stupid mistake of walking, be warned it is very hilly.would not suggest playing without a buggy in the summer months. Would returnWritten 20 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Around the 8th you have some great holes. If you come to Majorca and want a challenge play the course. The only strange experience was being told by the Marshall on the 15th to speed up and by the 17th waiting for the ones in front (when the course is busy and you put everyone in a 4 ball it's fine but the Marshall should be relaxed!)Written 5 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Christian_999Königsbrunn501 contributionsT Golf Calvia is a well maintained course with a relatively easy layout for most of the holes.
Buggies had modern GPS, however, we were blocked automatically many times in spots not even near a green and had to reverse backwards. We are experienced golfers and know where to drive and where not, and it would have helped immensely had there been signs depicting areas restricted for buggies!
Nice clubhouse with expensive food and limited choices.Written 15 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. First hole runs alongside the driving range which is rubbish as balls fly over the net onto the first fairway Some very different holes and all quite tough. All had a great day and our best was 34 points off 18 in our group which range from 8 to 28 Handicap Buggies are rubbish on Son Vida and Son Mutaner as they keep telling you that you are off the path and cuts out and the measurements seem out. All staff on course

- MikeandLiza2015Norwich, UK28 contributionsWe decided to play this course for a number of reasons. Love a course in the natural undulation of hills as opposed to the manicured hotel courses.
This course offers a 12 hole part round which is ideal for a few hours away from the holiday pool routine in the heat.
It’s a very interesting course, the greens are immaculate even if a bit slow but that’s because you are in the lush conditions up in the hills. Lots of hazards to deal with. I primary used a 3 wood off the tee for positioning as most of the par 4’s only require a short iron to the green.
Hired decent quality callaway clubs and buggy with gps all in great condition.
Restaurant very pleasant for a refreshment and bite to eat.
Very enjoyable experience- will return for the full 18 another time.Written 4 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Clubhouse is world class with a great menu and quality offerings.
The course needs natural water from above for it to really blossom into it's full glory.
Ps there only a water machine dispenser on the course (1 euro coin) and no food station.Written 16 September 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The overall condition of the course was good with some very nice holes.
Clubhouse was ok but not great, the terrace at the rear of the clubhouse was comfortable. Food was very nice and we had very good service.
Beware of the par 4, 6th hole. OB in the middle of the course if you are brave enough to drive the green. You cant see the OB from the tee and none of us read the back of the score card !Written 9 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. If this was a course chaging 60 to 70 euro would be perfect, but for over 100 euro to muchWritten 5 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - HedonisttravellerStuttgart, Germany43 contributionsThe scenery of Pula Golf course is absolutely breathtaking it is one of the most beautiful corses for the eyes that I have ever played.
Downside is when you really play tithe fairways were in poor condition many bald spots on the fairways where you could see the naked earth. Not really enjoyable to hit shots from that. On some greens there were parts with inserted pieces of long grass that made it impossible to make a good putt.
I personally dislike driving ranges where you can't hit from grass. Here was an artificial grass mat on the range and on top they put another mat where you hit your shots from, and the top mat is moving a bit with every shot that training with alignment sticks makes no sense at all.
After the round wanted to have a snack in the restaurant, the benches were heavily stained and no server attended to us. I went inside to take the menu and let them know we were sitting outside. Although it wasn't busy nobody attended to us within 5 minutes so we left.
Facilities look great and so does the golf course, just when you look at the details it doesn't live up to its name.
A place with huge potential if it would be managed better in terms of service and greenkeeping.Written 21 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Some parts of the course were unkempt but the greens were rolling nicely. Friendly staff. Worth to visit, and buggies recommended.Written 29 October 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Ashley AUnited Kingdom156 contributionsEnjoyed our round here. Arrived early and we were kindly bumped up the start sheet going out with a lovely couple of Swedish ladies. Tough starting hole with what is a blind tee shot which is quite disconcerting for your first shot! Course was in good nick though we were off a forward tee on the third due to storm damage. Stroke one is tough from the back as very narrow and you almost have no margin for error. Definitely need a buggy as steep later on. Don’t need a driver on most holes and you need to think your way round. Missed a halfway house or drinks buggy so take water etc with you at the start. Food was decent and staff all pleasant.Written 28 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
