- AndyNic14Barnsley, UK209 contributionsThis is a great walk from PP to Calle Sant Vincenc which takes around 3 hours return.
I am a very experienced walker and I would recommend that you wear good walking shoes. There is a tricky walk up the hill from PP which is trickier on the way down. It looks like a dry river bed that has lots of loose pebbles and rocks. Take your time and you’ll be fine as it’s only a small part of the walk.
The rest of the walk is on good paths and quiet roads. There are a couple of steep bits on the way down to CsV but again, take your time, drink plenty of water and you’ll be fine.
The views and the company of the goats are well with it.Written 1 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Intriguing history behind the trail and the archduke who created it. You begin to realize that the landscape and history are completely entwined in Mallorca which makes it all the more interesting.Written 5 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - PlantypeopleThe Midlands173 contributionsWe walked from the Vibra Beverly Playa Hotel in Peguera along the promenade and then along the road through the beautiful resort of Cala Fornells, past beautiful villas to the 5 star hotels at the end. We then took the track behind the Petit Cala Fornells hotel into the woodland. Easy going to start with. Half way up you can turn left to view a small bay but we continued straight on, aiming to reaching Es Camp de Mar. We are 68 and 80 and my husband found the going quite hard in places. Steep incline on rough ground with a choice to visit the tower. We continued on to Camp de Mar down a very steep path which eventually lead via some steps to a road. Head steeply downhill and take some steps to the left to take you to the road down to the resort. Good varied walk. More difficult to do in the opposite direction because of the steep downhill on rough ground. We caught the bus back to Peguera, take the 131 or the 122 every 15 - 30 minutes.
Es Camp de Mar was mostly all closed on 23rd March and there was not much happening. Small resort with steep hills all around so walking anywhere from there is challenging.Written 23 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Palmanova is beautiful but still very built up lots of traffic etc... lined with holiday tat shops but beach is pretty sea calm and blue.
The two places are not comparable but next door to each other.... same as here... nice road nice area walk round a corner and in the middle of a very underprivileged area and can feel instantly unsafe.
It's an insightful walk, one I think is good to see but great to leave behind.Written 1 June 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We are 68 and 80 and found it an easy walk. Take the Es Capdella Road out from the centre of Peguera and find the start of the walk at the third roundabout out of town. The footpath follows the road, crossing it occasionally, but it’s not busy and you never feel like you are walking alongside a road. There is an abundance of wildlife with red kite flying overhead, finches, sparrows and blackbirds aplenty and a hoopoe if you are lucky. At the end of March we saw dozens of different wild flowers, flowering trees in the fields and oranges and lemons on trees. The scenery is rural and surrounded by wooded hills. A truly beautiful walk. Just as you arrive in Es Capdella there is a small bar Es Moli, serving lunches, cakes, ice creams and drinks. Further on in the village is a pretty church opposite a tiny supermarket selling everything you could possibly need. We would definitely recommend this walk when staying in Peguera.Written 23 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mr_A_WhickerLondon, UK24 contributionsA good walk that starts of simple enough over rocky ground, leading to points of exposure when walking just off the ridge line. Summit provides excellent panoramic views.
I would suggest you need to have a modicum of knowledge when you leave the clearly defined trail. So being able to spot the correct route, understand that shiny rocks are slippery. At the summit there is one edge with a sheer drop not the place for a selfie, all it would have taken was a strong gust of wind or an edge to crumble and that would be bye bye. I witnessed this fortunately the people in question actually realised and moved in.
You need to have reasonable fitness as it gets quite steep.
Minimum footwear running shoes (proper ones) to walking shoes /light weight mids would be perfect.
Also minimum 500ml water.
Be sensible and enjoy it.Written 9 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - NorthEastMe999North East England, UK700 contributionsIt's a small park with shade, excellent in the heat of the day. Sculptures and fountains dotted around, with a cafe for refreshment! - PM3 contributionsWe walked this today. You start off outside the H10 Hotel, go to the top of the road, turn left, and go to the end where the walk will be signposted. The sign says 20 minutes, it took us 30. The track takes you through the trees and past the golf course on your left. Quite rough and undulating, rocky and fairly steep in places. The best place to leave the track is when you come to a large open car park on your left. Cross the car park to the road, turn left to the roundabout then right and the road downhill will take you to the "strip" in Peguera. Enjoy!Written 8 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Fredrik GFloro, Norway156 contributionsTorrent de Santa Ponca gives you an opportunity to walk in real nature. Combined with walking at the other Cami in this area it is very easy to reach a lot of interesting points in this part of the island,Written 16 April 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Joanna4153Derby, UK305 contributionsDone this several times and it is a favourite. Starting in the square in Soller, via Biniaraix, Fornalutz, Bini Bassi back to Soller. Restaurants & Cafes in Fornalutz. Fabulous views throughout. Bit of a plod up the road from Soller, but the views are great when you stop to catch your breath. Only noise is the song of birds and the tinkling of the sheep bells. Keep going up and up. There are small signs for Fornalutz and eventually you will see on on the left pointing down steps. Stick is advisable for the descent.Written 25 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- HighexpectsLondon, UK71 contributionsGreat place to walk, can be tricky so make sure you wear good trainers or walking boots and carry food and water in case.
