What travellers are saying
- LPHDKCopenhagen, Denmark1,072 contributionsI loved the old town - it is almost as charming as the one in Palma. On market days it is FILLED with vendors and tourists.
I bought quite a lot and the price is good considering the quality and they will haggle with you - just walk away a few times.
On a none market day you get to enjoy the peace and quiet and can actually see the streets and the city wall is far less crowded.Written 2 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - zottekTel Aviv, Israel78 contributionsGreat sandy beach. Very relaxing atmosphere (at least in September). Very nice to walk up and down the beach. Note there are no restaurants on the beach itself so come prepared with water and food.
A nice feature - when you rent a shade it includes a small safe box (which you code the numbers for) and you can leave your valuables (money, cellphone) when going into the water.
Jumping into the water from the boat dock was really fun for the kidsWritten 15 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Unlike some of the top rated “beaches” in Mallorca, there is plenty of sand/space on this long, sandy beach. And the water tends to be calm, given the gradual drop off. The beach itself is a 5, but the access is a 1. The long, winding road to the conveniently located parking lot is not wide enough in some areas for two mid-size cars to pass in opposite directions, requiring one to back up to a wider area to let the other car pass.
Just a general tip when renting a car in Mallorca: go as narrow/small as you can.Written 29 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. A city is a city but this UNESCO countryside is spectacular! But how to see it?
I did so much research on renting vehicles like three wheel cars and the like: most not easily accessible from port.: or taking the train to Sóller ( missed reviews) but decided to rent a car from the airport.
Au contraire! Took a taxi to the airport to rent…(I had gotten my international driving license and bought a map from Amazon, and studied the route…)
BUT: no one said I needed my passport!
Tears! Taxied back to the cruise port but then… I counted the cost of two more $25 taxi rides back and forth and instead… decided to hire a driver: they hang around with signs as you exit the dock.
This guy was SO nice trying to help me get back in the right door back to the ship to retrieve my passport. Nit I turned around and approached him.
And… we hired him. $250 for 3 hours/ we were out 4 1/2 hours and became fast if brief friends. Anass is from Niger, told us his immigrant story, and showed us the most out of the way and beautiful places!
I’ll include his contact in pictures… we went everywhere I planned to go: Soller, beautiful Port of Soller, winding our way to Valldemossa, rated number one place to see ( although full of busses! The Port was better!)
This was SO easy , safe and fun. I couldn’t have navigated all the roads and enjoyed it if I had rented a car.Written 16 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I have always loved cycling but haven’t kept it up to the level I used to be. Not a problem with an electric bike I was able to join my husband and made it to the beach. He continued to the top which I will definitely tackle next time.Written 17 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sandro74Porto Alegre, RS178 contributionsVery beautiful place, you need to walk 15 minutes from the free parking, and go down the stairs, but it’s a must see place. Some tips, 1) go in the morning or midday, as the light will better for the photos. 2) After going down by the main path, go up by the left side of the beach, so you will have other views, and you can finish at the road, closer to the parking. I just not recommend to go down using this path, as can be slippery.Written 2 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Thomas VOakland, CA17,790 contributionsI really enjoyed walking on this beautiful street which is in the heart of the tourist and business area. You will find lots of restaurants and cafes, most with outdoor seating, and all seemed very busy. For fewer crowds, wander a little off this main street.Written 18 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jet81425625 contributionsWe spent a lot of time at the beach during our holiday in Cala Millor. It's a lovely beach, soft sand, clean and plenty of sun loungers to hire if you want them. It's a little rocking in places but move further down and you won't find it a problem. It's close to the shops, bars and restaurants so handy to spend a lot of time there.
We didn't hire any loungers/umbrellas but they were 14 euros to hire (for x2 loungers, x1 umbrella and safe).
Loved walking on the beach early morning when it was quiet.Written 1 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The stalls are organised and the colours of the fruit amazing, fresh fish, and butchers. Some places have seats to eat, we bought a take away and sat out side, people watching at it's best.Written 25 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Tímea S1 contributionWe were here with family, with a 2,5 yo toddler. He enjoyed the beach so much, if there wouldn't be that much of waves he would love to dip in the shallow waters of Cala Agulla. As we are also short we appreciated it for sure. 😅 There is basic food and drink and toilet avaiable. Parking costs 6.50.Written 22 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- MandyK2412Cowes, UK33 contributionsOK beach, a fair bit of rubbish in the sea and one day quite a lot washed up on shore but did go so must’ve been cleaned up. €12 for a sunbed and parasol for 1 but did get a key safe for valuables which is good when on you’re own. Space for people who don’t want to pay. Beds were gone by 11am tho so get there earlier. Take noise cancelling headphones as constant shouts of “sangria Mojito”, lots of sellers too. Be careful of drink sellers they’re very good at ripping you off, wanted a mojito but as I paid with a €50 note she gave me a “free Sangria” but gave me change for 2 (€10 each!!) then scarpered, the free one wasn’t even what I like so did call her back later and make her swap it for another mojito, which she did. Saw her rip a couple of other people off too. I’d use beach bar. Lots of places to eat and drink just off beach too.Written 16 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - woodie49Brighton, UK1,004 contributionsWe were on a coach tour from Cala Millor and so only had 1½ hours before we had to board a boat. So we had a snack lunch and went along the cliff walk. Lovely views and somewhat envious of the people we saw swimming off the little beach at the entrance/exit to Torrent de Pareis.Written 12 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Emma C4 contributionsAbsolutely Beautiful. Highly recommend. We visited by bus from Cala egos. The bus stop is right there which was perfect. Picnic benches , good space on the beach and good walks around.Written 9 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
