What travellers are saying
- BarbPhiladelphia, PA75 contributionsThis is a must see, must do. Everything else in Palma pales in comparison. We arrived on a cruise ship.
A city is a city but this UNESCO countryside is spectacular! But how to see it?
I did so much research on renting vehicles like three wheel cars and the like: most not easily accessible from port.: or taking the train to SĂłller ( missed reviews) but decided to rent a car from the airport.
Au contraire! Took a taxi to the airport to rent…(I had gotten my international driving license and bought a map from Amazon, and studied the route…)
BUT: no one said I needed my passport!
Tears! Taxied back to the cruise port but then… I counted the cost of two more $25 taxi rides back and forth and instead… decided to hire a driver: they hang around with signs as you exit the dock.
This guy was SO nice trying to help me get back in the right door back to the ship to retrieve my passport. Nit I turned around and approached him.
And… we hired him. $250 for 3 hours/ we were out 4 1/2 hours and became fast if brief friends. Anass is from Niger, told us his immigrant story, and showed us the most out of the way and beautiful places!
I’ll include his contact in pictures… we went everywhere I planned to go: Soller, beautiful Port of Soller, winding our way to Valldemossa, rated number one place to see ( although full of busses! The Port was better!)
This was SO easy , safe and fun. I couldn’t have navigated all the roads and enjoyed it if I had rented a car.Written 16 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Some tips, 1) go in the morning or midday, as the light will better for the photos. 2) After going down by the main path, go up by the left side of the beach, so you will have other views, and you can finish at the road, closer to the parking. I just not recommend to go down using this path, as can be slippery.Written 2 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Family memberWest Midlands, UK170 contributionsA fabulous trip. Photographs can't capture the wonderful atmosphere of being surrounded by the beautiful textural forms in the cave. I would definitely recommend the visit.
This coves d'Arta tour has a lovely lightshow and orchestral segment, which was superb. The guides were great at explaining the history & age of the cave areas. Offered in several languages on the same tour.
I highly recommend visiting the coves d'Arte with a tour guide.Written 21 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. First you go in through the chickens and you can feed them corn which was great fun, my two boys really enjoyed this. Then you make your way through the orange, lemon, lime, pomegranate and avocado trees, lots of other fruit trees too, some that I've never heard of. Half way through there is a stop where you can have an orange each, then you carry on and when you get back your given a light snack of bread topped with oil, tomatoes and peppers which was delicious and then toasted bread with marmalade to try. All in the most beautiful picturesque setting. Very clean bathrooms and a little kids play area too. We had a lovely morning thank you so much! You must book beforehand!Written 11 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Niki FSopron, Hungary43 contributionsWe had such a lovely time on this farm. The host is very funny and kind, he showed us how to feed and pet the ostriches. There are a lot of them and they have a huge place where they can run. Lovely birds and lovely staff. I would 100% recommend visiting this place, had the best time.Written 28 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mark. J2 contributionsThe beach is welcoming, we met many people traveling from our country, it is amazing. A spectacular atmosphere that makes you want to stay there with your family for months. I recommend this place, we liked it very much. We will also come next year, it is a very cozy and relaxing place.Written 20 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Erika El MadiQuincy, MA59 contributionsI was duped by some reviews on this location thinking this was a beach, when it turned out to be a cute village with a beautiful port. My husband and I wandered through here, around the port and appreciated the beautiful blue waters and mooring boats. You could see the fish swimming by and we got some great ice cream as well. We thought we would be swimming here but no areas for swimming in the port.Written 23 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - AndyNic14Barnsley, UK209 contributionsThis is a great walk from PP to Calle Sant Vincenc which takes around 3 hours return.
I am a very experienced walker and I would recommend that you wear good walking shoes. There is a tricky walk up the hill from PP which is trickier on the way down. It looks like a dry river bed that has lots of loose pebbles and rocks. Take your time and you’ll be fine as it’s only a small part of the walk.
The rest of the walk is on good paths and quiet roads. There are a couple of steep bits on the way down to CsV but again, take your time, drink plenty of water and you’ll be fine.
The views and the company of the goats are well with it.Written 1 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There's works by Picasso, Yoko Ono, Yayoi Kusama, Rembrandt and pieces from Yves Saint Laurent.
We were also lucky enough to see Ben (owner and artist) in the hallway.
The rich collection of objects are truly inspiring.
Outside the sculpture park is quirky, eccentric and fascinating. The two underground galleries are interesting but you have to pay an additional fee to enter. There should be one full ticket covering all areas to visit and maybe separate tickets for the house tour and then the garden/underground galleries.
Either way I'd recommend a fully immersive visit.
Beware...take a picnic...DO NOT try the restaurant. The waiters are rude at best. They ignore you for as long as possible...we left because they, there were 2 of them, walked in and out of the kitchen passing us a number of times with an air of superiority...quite unnecessary and really lets down an otherwise friendly and calm place. We had tried to eat there on our visit last year but the same thing happened...this time we decided to give them another opportunity but nothing has changed. The food offering would complete the package here and make your visit truly memorable. They are missing a trick. Such a shame.Written 1 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The stained glass windows are stunning and you don’t get to see them until you walk through.
There are also lots of exhibits and museum pieces of interest that are laid out for you to read about, if you speak Spanish.
Definitely worth a visit.Written 18 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The tour was a small group of 7 people. Josep the sommelier and wine tour guide was so informative and the wines we tasted were absolutely delicious. The setting for the wine tasting and lunch is stunning too. We will definitely be coming back.Written 6 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Mandy-JoPalma de Mallorca, Spain52 contributionsWhat a fabulous day out! The small orange and white boat with "Dragon Island" painted on the side caught my eye whilst I was on the Tora beach, Paguera. Having lived in Mallorca for 20 years I had never been over to the protected Natural Park island of Dragonera. Adult ticket was 39 euros (July 2024) and included lunch and sangria or juice. Atalaya II was not a party boat. Clientele were couples/a few families of all ages and nationalities. The boat left the jetty at Tora beach at 10.30am and returned at 4pm. It's advertised as 4.5 hours, but was a comfortable 5.5 hours! Great value. Your photo is taken (with your permission) upon boarding and is presented later, where you can puchase for 5 euros. Over to Santa Ponsa to pick up more pax. 80 pax were onboard (although captain said the max is 140. He was happy with 80!). An hour's cruise to Dragonera Island; a former hide-out of pirate Redbeard before attacking Mallorca. We were given an hour to walk around and see the protected lizards, flora, birds, stone watch tower, small museum, swim in the cove etc. The tiny jetty on Dragonera only has space for one boat at a time, so feels like an exclusive, uncrowded excursion.p Then we anchored off Cala d'Egos for swimming in crystal clear water. Quality snorkels and masks could be hired for 10 euros refundable deposit. Two swim ladders were installed. A delicious lunch was served: salad, Spanish tortilla, tomatoes, bread, sangria/orange juice. 2 toilets onboard. Cruised around Camp de Mar, Cala Llamp, Puerto Andratx, sometimes getting tantalisingly close to the dramatic sheer cliffs! Nice background music played throughout the day. Later a guitar appeared and Captain Juan and his crew sang uplifting Spanish songs!! A fabulous day out! Crew were professional, friendly, jokey and attentive. Look out for the little orange and white boat for "Dragon Island"!!Written 21 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Marie RoosGhent, Belgium384 contributionsPicturesque, quiet village with beautiful small harbor, boats and shops. Close to the national park and ideal for hiking. Definitely recommended to grab an ice cream at Murmui Heladeria (Virgen del Carmen) at the harbor, by far the best ice cream (also vegan chocolate available!) we had when we were at Majorca.Written 1 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
