A city is a city but this UNESCO countryside is spectacular! But how to see it?
I did so much research on renting vehicles like three wheel cars and the like: most not easily accessible from port.: or taking the train to SĂłller ( missed reviews) but decided to rent a car from the airport.
Au contraire! Took a taxi to the airport to rent…(I had gotten my international driving license and bought a map from Amazon, and studied the route…)
BUT: no one said I needed my passport!
Tears! Taxied back to the cruise port but then… I counted the cost of two more $25 taxi rides back and forth and instead… decided to hire a driver: they hang around with signs as you exit the dock.
This guy was SO nice trying to help me get back in the right door back to the ship to retrieve my passport. Nit I turned around and approached him.
And… we hired him. $250 for 3 hours/ we were out 4 1/2 hours and became fast if brief friends. Anass is from Niger, told us his immigrant story, and showed us the most out of the way and beautiful places!
I’ll include his contact in pictures… we went everywhere I planned to go: Soller, beautiful Port of Soller, winding our way to Valldemossa, rated number one place to see ( although full of busses! The Port was better!)
This was SO easy , safe and fun. A spectacular atmosphere that makes you want to stay there with your family for months. I recommend this place, we liked it very much. - zottekTel Aviv, Israel78 contributionsOne of the kids found this place and decided we should go. The way to get there (at least when we were there) was with a bus. It comes all the way from Alcudia but we took it from Formentor beach which we visited before. We also saw people riding bikes there, but it looked pretty hard :-)
The best time to arrive (so it is said) is at the sunset. So take the bus that would get you there just before. The views are amazing and we took many pictures before and during the sunset.

The road up to Es Verger is really crooked and not in the best condition so be prepared.
There is a bar on top of the hill but definitely bring some water.

Driving it is a nailbiting adventure but well worth it. Especially nice to go at sunset when the buses have all left sa Callabra and negotiating the twisting turning narrow road is much easier. - 1957Ottawa, Canada827 contributionsWe were told that this is a definite must to do.! This extremely scenic drive is thrilling and exciting but very challenging! You must be an experienced driver, there is so many sharp switchbacks and turns as you climb and climb then go down to the water. Glad it was not high season , 12 km of stressful bends, twisted roads, gorges, tunnels..would not be enjoyable with a lot more cars or bicycles on the road . I give my hat and admire all cyclists that manage to do this road. - Zoe TPontefract, UK54 contributionsIf you’re in Porto collom you must find this spot at sun set or sun rise! It is insanely beautiful. If you have any mobility issues it is unlikely you’ll be able to calm down as it is real rock climbing both up and down. However it is still a nice view from the top of the cove looking at the lighthouse. Both sides were amazingly fun and the sense of community is incredible.

It was amazing, the staff super friendly and all was very good explained.
It’s a place I would recommend , was really fun as the different zones amazing. ( we loved the urban one )
We played and had BBQ with drinks inc.

He took me to a couple different spots on the island, provided all the gear I needed and set up top ropes for me. I'm not an expert climber but the routes he showed me were perfect for my level (5.7-5.8 in the USA). - Karen C2 contributionsWe had a fantastic time as a family. Adults and children 10 and 4 years old. It was my first time playing and it was a challenging and exciting time. My sister has played many escape rooms and found “el ladrón de memorias” very entertaining as well. Kids loved it. Emilio was very attentive and gave very clear directions before the game started. We opted to take sandwiches from the local market instead of dining at a waterfront cafe to maximize our time on the water.

Challenging, but not impossible to solve - all with a friendly host. We played with 3 kids (13,16,19) and all of them were able to work on the the variety of brain twisters.
