Didn't climb up or get the cable car, but walked on the paths starting from roadside parking bay near the cable car. Great view and landscapes. 7.5 mile loop that also took in the newish visitor centre at Siete Cañadas (worth a look).
We started early so the drive there was quiet. Although the visitor centre and cable car areas appeared to get very busy we barely saw another person on the walk other than bee keepers - such a relaxing (if hot!) experience, and it was free.

What an awesome place and day!
Here are some answers and tips to questions that I had that I couldn’t find on google.

    1. If your hotel is close enough get a Taxi.
We stayed in the Troya at plas Americas.
It was €5 and got to the park at 9.15
Despite the park not being officially open until 10 it was open and letting people in.
I’m glad we got there early as the Q was already big.
We bought tickets online so used the quick scan ticket entrance on the left.
Get to the park as early as you can.

    2. Fast passes are a MUST.
As you get in to the park bear left, dodge the picture people and buy your passes from the mini mart, they are €18 each, without these you won’t get on many rides.
Fast passes are limited so they can sell out.
We got on all the rides and more with the passes.
I did feel a little guilty for skipping the massive Q’s.
Without a pass you will be waiting for more than an hour for most rides.

    3. From the mini mart go right and get a locker at the Siam beach,
They are €5 with a €5 deposit, you can pay with cash or card at the desk and they will give you a key with a number on.
At this point if you haven’t taken water shoes with you (got ours from sports direct), you can buy them with the locker hire. The ground will be hot! Save your feet, they are €9.99

    4. Throw a couple of towels onto the sun loungers on Siam beach. You will probably need these half way through your day for lunch and for when you want to pop into the water to experience the waves. Don’t under estimate the waves
    If you have small kids.

    5. If you are taking kids make sure they are 125cm.
If they are under then you may aswell pack up and go as 99% of the rides have 125cm or higher restrictions.

    6. Get a free Siam bus back to the nearest stop to your hotel.

    7. Crack open a cold one.

My husband and I really enjoyed our trip to Loro Parque. Our Jet 2 rep organised tickets and transfers for us and it took us just over an hour each way. There was a large queue on arrival and entry to the park was quite hectic, even with pre paid tickets. It was extremely busy and at some points everyone came to a stand still and nobody could move. I guess it is to be expected in peak summer holiday time but some areas of the park weren't spacious enough for the amount of people that were in. It also took us over half an hour to queue for lunch meaning we missed one of the animal shows and didn't have time to see it later in the day. The park is well sign posted and along with our map we managed to make our way round everything. The conveyor belt in the penguin enclosure was really cool! We loved the animal shows and the animals looked very well cared for. Food and drink was fairly priced but the gift shop at the entrance was disappointing. I would recommend planning your visit before you go to make the most of your trip. It's well worth a visit!

A beautiful beach in Tenerife, very crowded in July, a bit dirty in the water, unfortunately people throw all kinds of plastic packaging into the water, that's why I give 4 stars. It's worth visiting.

People were saying that this was a must see experience, and whilst it was pretty and we enjoyed the tranquility of it, it wasn’t breathtaking. The HardRock cafe opposite is impressive, and the location of this fountain is bustling with activity, however because you have to go at night to appreciate the lights, you also get a few intoxicated visitors taking their selfies.

Remmants of a Tertiary Period jungle that has survived to this day due to the particular climate of the Canary Islands. Worth a visit, though the parking spot is tiny! Recommended to get there by bus. There are different length hiking trails for different types of visitors. If you walk quietly, the birds will come spy on you.

The only Beach where I would lay for sunbathing, If in Teneriffa. And I found it not overcrowded like the beaches in south of Teneriffa.

A lovely little place to go for a couple of hours. Our son loved feeding the birds, Guinea pigs and monkeys. This is a small place and really only took us a couple of hours to go round it but there were lots of shaded seating areas that we used to just sit and watch the monkeys play. I don’t know much about animal welfare but all the cages seemed very clean whilst we were there and keepers were in and out topping up food etc. facilities are not great though and nowhere to have a picnic of buy lunch etc so I wouldn’t plan it as a full day out!

Great example of botanical Gardens with some impressive plants and trees. It's laid out on a rectangle so the visit is compact and you can easily map your way round to see the entire garden. Lots of shade in the summer so a welcome break from intense sunshine. We walked from the hotel which was 10minutes. Thoroughly recommend.

Fantastic resort, much improved over the years. It now hosts plenty of designer shops, quality restaurants and pleasant environment. The Golden Mile is no longer tacky and full of drinkers, although the area around Veronica's Strip seems to have retained its reputation of 'party central'. The resort seems popular with young families and couples of all ages, making me feel that I wasn't out of place, and that a rowdy group of 'hens' were the exception rather than the rule.

    What a lovely park!
Highly recommend a visit and make sure you catch the birds of prey show, the best we’ve ever seen! Soo many birds.
Clean, tidy park and not too busy, only thing missing is regularly placed maps. You can get one on your phone but struggled to get Wi-Fi to download one.
Also make sure you visit BOB the bobsleigh, that was really fun!

4 euros per sunbed or parasol if you want to rent them (they get there to start taking money at about 11am) but also you can bring your own chairs / towels / parasol etc there is plenty of room. Clean and tidy beach, lots of shops and bars on the front but they don’t take over the beach. Showers to clean feet etc.
Golden rather than black sand like in some areas of the island; but still very grainy rather than fine sand. The sand gets really hot - you need something on your feet to walk on it

Some might pooh pooh it as unoriginal because it is a scaled down version of a similar design at the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia but the architect Santiago Calatrava obviously took into consideration the relatively smaller population of the Canarian capital, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, when committing it to the draughting board. Its location on the Avenue of the Constitution next to the Atlantic Ocean is nonpareil. Sitting on the terrazza - having an early bird dinner and enjoying both the vista and ocean breezes - is a brilliant prelude to a concert there. The acoustics are as great as the building is iconic.
