This was the third time we have been to this studio!! The first time he made a rose for my granddaughter, the second we bought tiles for our patio table and this time we bought more tiles for our table. He didn’t have exactly what size we wanted but painted them and fired them in 2 days for us. We got to take them out of the oven warm!!!! Now that’s customer service!!! And all that was done with only a little Italian. Friends are made everywhere you go in Sicily. That’s why we keep coming back!!!

Angela is an excellent local artisan specializing in several types of print-making. She offers a wonderful and worthwhile two hour workshop appropriate for absolute beginners and professional artists alike. My wife and I left with two prints each and big smiles on our faces. Angela is not only charming and kind but also very generous. We felt welcomed, supported and encouraged the entire time. Our only complaint was that we hadn't more time to spend with Angela! This is an amazing gem of an artshop and workshop experience. If you happen to travel to Siracusa you must visit Ortigia and if in Ortigia we encourage you to stop by Angela's shop, L'Arte per Linciso. We give five out of five stars!!!!!

Ceramicist tending the till was charming and friendly - no pressure to buy from him, but he clearly was proud of their work (of course I bought some items!)

We spent 2 hours with Agata who explained to us the process of making the pottery, before our children 8 and 11 and us had a go under her supervision and expert eye, first at shaping then painting.

Cear Ceramiche is a family run business and everyone was very welcoming.

Speaking properly Italian would have allowed to exchange more information, but my reasonably good level of understanding and Agata's kindness worked very well!

We were thrilled with the experience and by the results!

    Thank you.

We had the most wonderful day shopping, cooking, and chatting with Priscilla. She fully customized the menu for us (vegetarian only!) and pre-researched the best options in the market ahead of time. We loved the chance to walk through the shops and explore and buy with her, as well as taste a few items on the way. Once back at her studio, she adjusted the format so we cooked one course at a time and had time to enjoy together. She was fully present with us the whole time, and we all walked away with a wealth of new knowledge about Sicily as well as new culinary techniques in our pockets to try. She even gave us a list of spots for us to check out in our remaining Palermo days, and her ideas helped us plan out the rest of our itinerary. We couldn't recommend more highly!

This was such a great experience for me and my son. Fulvio was so hands on with us cooking and made us to have such a great evening in his home. I can highly recommend this if you are looking for a cooking class that is above anything else.

Mr Varsallona already celebrated the 50th anniversary of his pottery. He is a master in his field and specialised on replicas of old pieces displayed in museums. He also produces excellent table ware. Those who live in a Mediterranean environment most likely will not leave the shop without taking one of the objects home. Mr Varsallona showed us around and explained his works which was very interesting. His Son also works as a potter and produces modern objects. Do not miss a visit here when you are in Caltagirone - this is a recommendation of 2 German tourists who love art and design.
