I loved it. It is a beautiful, very clean market place where you can get a lot of different types of food. You can find local dishes as well as international dishes. You should try the duck burgers, they are amazing!

In late Novembert,I spent one fine day at the Mauritshuis beside the Binnenhof in the Hague. The Mauritshuis specializes in Baroque Period Paintings produced by Netherlandish,Flemish, and Dutch Painters.
Netherlandish 16th Century favorites that day were Master of Frankfurt's"Saint Barbara",Rogier Vander Weyden's""Lamentation",and Michel Sittow's"Portrait of A Man".
Flemish favorites that day included Willem Van Haecht's"Apelles Painting Compaspe"(a very punctilious painting),Jan Brueghel and Peter Paul Rubens'"Garden of Eden",Jacob Jordaens'"Adoration of Shepherds",and Peter Paul Rubens'"Woman and Boy Wuth Candle"(superb Mannerism).
Dutch Master favorites that day were Johannes Vermeer's "View of Delft änd"Girl With Pearl Earring",Rembrandt's Änatomy Lesson of Doctor Tulp"and "Homer"",Arent Van Gelder's"Song of Praise",Hendrick Terbruggen's"Liberation of Saint Peter",Paulus Potter's"Bull"",Jacob Van Ruisdael's"View of Bleaching Fields",and Jan Steen;s""Poultry Yard".
In this classy art museum, there is plenty of information and labelling in English as well as Dutch..So enjoy some quality 16th and 17th Century quality works of Art.

Actually the cheese on show during the reenactment in Alkmaar is Gouda cheese from South-Holland. Not that it alters the picture very much. A fun presentation of how the market once was operated.

Of the five cheese markets held in Holland (mostly during summer), the ones in Gouda and Woerden are still more or less authentic. The ones in Edam and Hoorn are reenactments as well. Personally I like the one in Gouda most.

The outlet was really great and although they charge you for parking I think the price is very appropriate. The outlet looks beautiful and the stores are great!

When I visited it was absolutely crowded which caused some queues so I would suggest to visit early.

Great staff nice contact especially on social media.

Really enjoyed our night here. The place was buzzing on a Friday. Great service and great beer. The bar food also looked good.

The Gouda Cheese Market day was so much fun and delightful for the full family. The farmers bring in their products and until about 1pm they sell "rounds" of cheeses to various stores and groups (actually I think it is all staged) but the fun and celebration is great. There was band of older men playings songs, a calliope in the city center, and tours of various buildings including the cheese weighing house and the town hall.

The atmosphere is very festive with local vendors selling carved and handmade items. All kinds of foods to buy for a lunch or snack, and so much more.

You can go into some stores to taste the different Gouda flavors and prices are a great opportunity to get some new cheese. There are photo opportunities with people in costume and to even stand with the "Cheese Man" in his bright yellow suit!

People of all ages will love it.

From the train station it is about a 6 block walk to the Gouda Cheese market in the City Center. If you are in the Rotterdam area, it is an easy train ride and well worth planning a ½ day outing. Things begin to wrap up about 1-2pm.

Visting the Leiden Saturday Market in the old city center is certainly the best introduction to Leiden. Along the canals between the City Hall and the old Borough, you will not just find all fresh produce and other goods you may fancy at budget prices but also experience the authentic Leiden: the people meeting their friends in the abundant cafés, bars, and restaurants that border the market area, the old buildings, churches, museums and shops in the neighborhood. If you didn't walk the walk and bought some freshly baked fish of flowers, you can't say you have really seen Leiden.

Large shopping mall in the centre of Emmen. With all common brand shops and low budget shops. You must visit the drugstore Die Grenze medicamente outside the mall at the square. Special prices for food and bodycare products. Parking garage gives direct access to the mall. Pleasant when it rains.

Place located outside lelystad and took as one hour to arrive via train and bus from Amsterdam Central

Most of the items had good prices and had couple of brand named items 50 to 70 % from RRP

This market is definitely worth the visit just to have a nosy around. If you are staying in a Airbnb or renting a house or barge this is the place to get fresh food. From one stall to the next fantastic fresh food. On one stall You can buy fresh fish like cod or scallops and they will batter it and fry it there and then for fish and chips. So you can't moan about it not being fresh. It's not that expensive either

If I was renting I would definitely shop here for fresh food and Jumbo stores for everything else. Avoid Alfred stores to expensive

We were staying in Maastricht and visited Vaals for the day. Glasblazerij Gerardo Cardinale was booked ahead of time and we had a great demonstration. In half an hour time Gerardo manages to totally convince you of his craftsmanship and artistic credentials and that in a very pleasant way. A great visit and a must when coming to Vaals.

Very nice outlet, clean an enough shops to find what you need. One bad experience we had is with the Bistro Bonton. Many times we had diner at Bonton after an afternoon of shopping with our Chihuahua. This time we entered the place, the waitress told us we could sit wherever we wanted. Once seated, another waitress came to our table and said we had to leave because of the small dog. We told her that all the other times we had diner here, it was never a problem. Her answer was "WE WANT TO KEEP THE PLACE ALERGY FREE" Don't think she understand what allergy free means. Actually we had a nice dinner at another place downtown Roosendaal. Its obvious we will never go to Bistro Bonton anymore even if we don't have our dog with us!!

We visited on a Wednesday during the summer which I understand is the only day of the week the town puts on a cheese market show. Everyone is dressed in costume and demonstrate how the cheese was brought to market. A fun show for the whole family. We were there at 10:30 AM and the show was underway. Very interesting and entertaining.
