If you are a history buff, this is for you. Thousand of years of history around this hill. There are audio tours to explain everything. New in May 2024, they capped visitors at 20000 a day. Get your tickets from official website, pick your scheduled entry. You will be directed to a head out app. Re check your times and submit again if asked. You can buy there, but will save you time and stress of missing out on tickets.

This is a modern and great museum. Can spend all day if you read everything. Hard to believe the work on all the
Marble statues and stones. Lots of wars and occupations happened here, plenty of exhibits to read about.

Pretty much THE sight in the Acropolis - the temple of Athena, the theatres are all impressive but there was no out-doing the Parthenon.
Unluckily for us, there were works on-going, compounded with how busy the area was, this limited how much we could take in.

Regardless though, a must see. As with the rest of the Acropolis, need to get there early.
We regret not reversing our route, we should have entered the Acropolis and tried to come here first.

This beach is stunning with beautiful clear waters and a pleasant temperature, making it a fantastic place to relax and enjoy. Keep in mind that there isn't much shade, so come prepared. You'll park your car and walk a few minutes to reach the beach, but it's worth the effort. There's also a canteen on the beach in case you get hungry. All in all, this is a must-visit beach! 🏖

This is an old part of athens near the acropolis. Lots of restaurants and nice vibe. Couple of great restaurants located on a long row of steps. Lots of shops and rooftop restaurants.

Lovely town. We went afternoon middle of may and it was not a lot of people. Great atmosphere 😊 Lots of little boutiques. I excepted the walk up to akropolis to be much tougher by reading the reviews but as a scandinavian it was a light stroll. Our 3yrar old managed it on her own legs up and down. I think we maybe used 5-7 minutes up.

The Museum is situated not far from the port, and despite many street signs having their English translation defaced, it is fairly easy to find. Admission is currently 12 Euros. It is a fairly small museum, but holds some incredible finds. There's a cafe, a gift shop, and toilets. Visitors to the museum have to pass through a metal-detecting portal, so if you have a Swiss Army Knife, for example, leave it in the car, or in your hotel. Photography is allowed.
