I used the free public transportation (bus) to a stop about a 15 minute walk from the cemetery.

The brochure is informative and helpful.

I learned that the bronze dolphins and turtles that decorate the pools symbolize respectively, resurrection and everlasting life.

The cemetery is well maintained, a wee disappointment is that one could not get very close to General Patton's grave, it was blocked off and only could be viewed from a distance.

Luxembourg is an amazing city where the modern blends with the medieval. Le Chemin de la Corniche offers one of the bet views in the city. I also recommened taking a bike ride down into the old town and using the free public transport to get around.

Notre Damme cathedral is located in the old town area of Luxembourg. It’s a commanding structure but not as large as you might expect. Opens from 8am to 6pm.

Bigger than expected and well maintained, but I was expecting more infos.
Maybe I should have picked up a small guide at the start, but I think some signs would be nice to read what the chambers were used for.
Pretty sure some were used for goods, prison, ammo depot,..

Now it was just walking around inside a wall. Still cool and interesting, but lacking infos

A great place to visit when staying in Luxembourg City!
We went down one of the many steep paths (or just take the lift) and we walked along the valley to GRUND, which feels like a completely different village surrounded by cliffs and the city above, with a very picturesque bridge and centre.
There is a small museum with dinosaurs, a pretty church, several bars and places to eat… TWO Michelin star restaurants, a cosy pub and a lively bar - it was a lovely place to visit during the day and a surprisingly great place to go on Saturday night
The lift stays open until 4am, there’s also a free bus

Essentially a piece of public transport infrastructure that happens to have a glass walkway and great views of the valley. The slightly surprising thing is that if you are in the city, you get the view first - then head down in the lift. There are undoubtedly great views from the glass platform and the lift itself (if you can fight off the hordes of insta-selfie takers for a minute) but actually at the bottom is a quaint village which feels a world away from the modern city above. It's well worth taking the time to explore down here and is definitely worth taking the time to explore rather than just taking the selfie and leaving.

We were initially going to just visit the free part of the museum but changed our minds when we saw some things of interest on the 4th floor. The €7 charge was a bit high IMO as there wasn’t that much to see in the paid areas. We liked the art in the free areas the best. The high tech display in the one room, which shows interviews with people and provides information on some of the artwork, is particularly interesting and impressive.

The Wenzel itinerary is in the area of the Bock cliff, on the border of the river and around. There are small gardens and green plots around and even cats sometimes, hiding there in the grass. On a sunny day, it is a great activity for nature-lovers. Near the Bock cliff, every March, the Luxembourg city gives away as gifts small bags of seeds with Luxembourgish local plants - I also got some and planted them in the garden of the building where I live, in Strassen.

The palace is only open for visitors during the Summer period from about July-September. Pre-book the tour in advance as it can get booked up early because of its limited availability and popularity. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. Unfortunately but understandably, photos are not permitted once you enter the palace gates and all bags, even small ones need to be left at the reception area. The grandeur of the palace is stunning- from jade vases to map rooms to family portraits and elaborate dining rooms, you won't be disappointed.

Worth a visit to the bridge to tick off one of the main sights (and views) in Luxembourg. Its double-decked even though the lower deck is a little hidden and you'll be fighting speeding cyclists, its worth a crossing to get a different view of the city - its also good to stay dry if its raining!

La Passerelle - Luxembourg Viaduct was built to connect the city centre with Luxembourg Gare Centrale. It runs from Avenue de la Gare to Boulevard Franklin Delano Roosevelt and was built between 1859 and 1861. There are some magnificent views of the city from the Viaduct, equally the Viaduct is an impressive sight itself looming over the Pétrusse Valley.

The plaza is in the center of downtown and a great place to start your explorations. We found parking nearby and admired the town. There are several dining options here on the plaza, although they're pretty touristy, and we enjoyed getting an ice cream. We were also impressed with the public bathrooms located just off the main square, which were both free and very clean.
