On a beautiful , sunny day the gardens showed their glory with new Spring foliage and flowers a beautiful backdrop to the wonderful granite house. Always a magical place to visit for me. House is undergoing a conservation programme this year. Good to see wonderful building being looked after. Lovely cream tea in kitchen garden. Well done National Trust !

Pencarrow Gardens were beautiful and full of flowers. We toured around and then stopped for a delicious lunch at the Peacock Cafe. The peacocks were out in force. We saw ten. After lunch we went back around the garden in the opposite direction. You always see things you missed first time around. We went back to the cafe to tea and a cake.

Tickets were included with our Bodmin Jail Hotel stay. Was fantastic! Really informative and spookily interesting. To hear about actual criminals who were sentenced and to see the holding cell before hangings were carried out was actually eerie but great! Informed of hauntings and ghosts made us feel very on edge going around! Definitely recommend this - great fun!

What a very interesting place, lots of reading to do but well worth it, very good exhibits concerning the history of the DCLI and an outstanding display of medals including 8 VC’s! It also houses a small but nun the less important exhibits concerning Harry Patch(including his Medals) if you don’t know who he was, shame on you and go find out.

Be it a beautiful sunset or searching for the 'Bodmin Beast' definitely worth a visit. The stars are numerous and humbles oneself. If a day visit is your thing, look out for ancient stones and of course one cannot miss 'Brown Willy.

Went for a 2nd Jan 2024 hike with the doggo! Never been here before and saw a flyer for it at our holiday park. So so glad I found the flyer as these woods are STUNNING!! I did the pink and yellow trail one after the other. Definitely do the yellow trail as there is a beautiful view of the valley from above. Paths are very well maintained, way markers are all super clear and easy to follow. The dog wash is excellent and the ladies toilets have signage to say if you're caught short you can get a discreet envelope from the rangers with pads and tampons. Brilliant attention to detail and being there for your guests potential requirements.

We had a really enjoyable afternoon being shown around by the owner, Tom. He clearly has a passion for making cider and is very well informed having learnt how to make Cider from scratch. The tour was all the better for being very informal and Tom’s stories and style endeared us all.
Make sure you have a designated driver as the cider is very nice to sample!
Shame that the tour only runs on Thursdays but they need time to run a small business as well.

A great little museum, staffed by two lovely ladies at the time of our visit. The exhibits provide a real insight into notable local events and history. We would strongly recommend.
