- Massimo APadua, Italy94 contributionsFrom Cervia down to Tagliata a long pine tree area is separating the beach from the resort area. In the north part it has less trees, but souther of Pinarella there are more trees and more shadows for everyone.
I've been there with my family and my kids and we did enjoy the shadow and each play area. Moreover you can also eat a piadina there during lunch and very hot times. The area is also good for jogging or cycling north to south and backward.

- keithpI29YF14 contributionsExpensive but well run. Had a pizza which can only unforgettably described as gourmet. Crispy based and well leavened. Do yourself a favor and try it.Written 27 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

There are no signs of orientation and the GPS does not guide you correctly because there are many one way streets. Then you find that you had to make a pre-booking. Finally, they also accepted us with a group that formed then bu the trip was a rudimentary and uncomfortable boat. At the destination, we were shown the salt-water basins, you could walk on salt-filled salt land and ... ready, back to the entrance! Right from the beginning, you were told that you would see flamingo birds, but obviously, I did not see any.
All visit has one purpose - commercial. You are invited to buy the "famous" Cervia salt.Written 5 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Visitors only pay the entry fee of 2 Euro each to take part. The tour was given in Italian language by a gentleman who was a former worker at the salt pans. The speaker was very informative on the history of Cervia which in effect started with the salt pans; development of the walled town which originally was where the salt pans are located, why salt was such a valuable commodity back then (they had guards every 20 metres), how it was a "government controlled" product and originally only sold in Sali e Tabacchi shops. Of course now you can buy salt in supermarkets, deli shops, etc.
The speaker took us through the museum's various displays including maps, a huge salt carrying boat, equipment such as scales etc. To finish the evening, an archeologist spoke about the finds in various sites and the importance of the town, in particular referring to Ravenna's importance during the early days.
Souvenirs are for sale, as well as small sacks of Cervia's salt from the only manually worked pan left, all run by volunteers.Written 17 August 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We stayed at their beach every day during our stay. The food was great, at nice prices. Great seafood pastas, and great menu for the kids. The staff were great, all of them. Nice bar also!

Nice variety of animals. Totally recommend as a welcome break to the beach.
