- herefordSitka, AK342 contributionsThis museum demonstrates ethnographic items which are well displayed with good descriptions, in Italian. Amazing collection of interesting items used by local people. Clearly these people were industrious and understood the environment. I am not certain of the hours, but the door was open, and we were welcomed.Written 26 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - FairEnBertinoro, Italy86 contributionsWonderful panorama, I walked from Bagni di Valgrande, following the road to Rifugio selvapiana, then anticlockwise I took the n° 155 (well signed) then n° 124 and I climbed up to Forcella Pian della Biscia.
From here on you have one the widest view of this area.
I kept on the n° 124 and I remained on my right, leaving the the major track, after some of up and down, I reached the base of the most tiring climb of this ring.
There are some parts that have a iron rope in wich you can count on, when the slope is too high. Once at the hut "O.Sala" the track goes down up the Rifugio Berti.
It was so cold when I was there, there was no snow, but a lot of ice from and going down along the 101 (on the way back to "Rifugio Selvapiana") was dangerous with no crampons, so I climbed down from where I came.
It' s a bit demanding but it's a great excursionWritten 10 January 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. What's really exceptional is the incredible Dolomitic environment its in, the view from the top of the Col d'la Tenda rifugio almost moved me to tears with its beauty. Snow condition were exceptional too. With the soon to be connection to the Sexten area, this little jewel of a resort is going to be further valorised. Padola the village is a charming ideal base to explore the marvels of the entire area. Lovely, just lovely!Written 4 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
