I walked the Bisse du Ro a few times when I was in Crans Montana for a week in September. There has clearly been a lot of effort invested into the trail and it is very well maintained, as it needs to be given where it goes. If heights make you uncomfortable, this is probably not the trail for you. However, when I was there only one part of the trail was along a section with a large drop and no safety rail (you hold on to a rope attached to a cliff face - I've attached a photo of this section), and even on that bit they're in the process of building a suspension bridge to circumvent that section.
The part of the trail that runs alongside the water course (so basically the bit from Crans Montana) is, by necessity, quite flat so you don't need to be particularly fit to walk that section, although there are a couple of bits that go under low rocky outcrops, so you'd need to be fit enough to duck to a level of about three feet or so. Much of the trail is along walkways suspended on a vertical cliff face. The walkway is wide enough that two people can pass each other without too much difficulty, but it would still be a bit of a palaver if it was very busy (which it wasn't when I was there in September).
After a mile or so, at the end of the water course, the flat bit ends and the trail becomes more of a standard mountain trail, which I followed all the way to the dam (and back).
Basically it's a pretty easy walk with stunning views.

Recommended- very nice experience to try!! Our guide Partick was very experinced and took care of our group or around 8 people. The sky and the stars in the night were amazing to observe, fondue was tasty and slegding down was such a fun!

Just a comment - the way up to the Hameau can be challenging for not very fit people:))) so be prepared.

We loved our visit! Could have stayed for hours! The guide and owner is just amazing and knows every train. She speaks French, German and English. Several trains are up and running which she proudly shows. Well worth a visit, train enthusiast or not!

Despite its reputation as a top ski resort the Crans Montana area leaves a lot to be desired. The signposting is AWEFUL. Slopes are color-coded but there are no signs indicating the name or number of the slope you’re on and no signs at most intersections. The few signs you’ll find don’t tell you whether a name is a lift station, a lift or a slope name (other places use TS, TC etc…). Overall the color-coding of the slopes is seemingly random and the slopes don’t connect in a logical way: there’s a nice part with blue beginner slopes you can only reach via black or red slopes. Some slopes connect illogically which means you might find yourself crawling back up a hill to reach a lift. The free slope plans have different slope color codes than the ones used elsewhere and no arrows indicating the direction of the slope… all in all it seems the town is just a little too frugal and content with the tourism $ coming in without any further effort.

With overpriced lifts and some pretty mediocre slopes we won’t go back to Crans-Montana.

Very beautiful museum. It is indeed quite small but the exhibition is worth the visit. The lotschental masks are so real and the scenography was superb!
Go visit it if you have a few minutes to occupy during your stay in Crans-Montana.

The most beautiful & scenic golf course on Swiss Alps doubles as a ski slopes in Winter. Hosting Annual Omega Swiss Masters to top European PGA Tour golfers every year in Summer & gentle ski slopes in Winter to suit beginners & children makes this place a wonderful resort. We enjoy every visit all Seasons to play golf or ski !
