This is a very tranquil circular walk around the Coombe area. There are a few hills to negotiate but generally it isn’t too strenuous a walk.
The conditions underfoot were quite good as much of the walk is on country lanes.
The village of Coombe is a welcome sight at the end of the walk. It’s a nice spot to sit and look at the estuary / river.

Large Beach, ideal for picnic, which is tidal for a large area. Plenty of facilities available around the car park, including the coloured toilet block.

We booked to go to Killiow for lunch. Following signs from the Playing Place roundabout and ended up driving round a large estate for 20 minutes checking on google maps etc to no avail. Eventually after a period of off roading, met a lady who advised that there was another entrance entirely that we'd missed. So, can't say if good or not... but the signage was not exactly clear.

Great bikes to ride the coast to coast trail from Devoran to Portreath. Great service, and a coffee shop on site!

Hired the Harley Davidson from Nik for a quick days tour of the coast.
Won't hesitate to hire from him again. Great communication and customer service.
All the bikes are well looked after and look great. I've already suggested some friends look Nik up this Summer.

We wanted to hire 2 mountain bikes during our week-long stay in Cornwall and found West Coast Cycles online. In the end we only took the bikes for a single day at £30 plus £10 delivery (delivery would have been free if we wanted them for more than one day). The bikes were delivered to our holiday cottage as arranged - we ended up with two Marin bikes, great quality and condition. Helmets and locks were included (although we took our own helmets).
Excellent, friendly service and top notch communication, we can’t fault this company and would definitely use again.
    Thanks!!

Incredible family fishing experience in Falmouth this morning. Fishing from the rocks and shoreline was new for us. Justin, our guide, was patient, encouraging and great with my twen boys. 5 mackerel and 4 wrasse caught by absolute newbies. 2 mackerel were filleted and cooked up for us after. An absolute treat. As a guide Justin was responsible, flexible and ethical. Safety was priority from the start. Location was great and the snack box was a lovely accompaniment! The highlight of our visit to Cornwall. THANK YOU!

Glorious day out with co-captains, Debbie and Neil on the wonderful Dutch sailing barge, Drifter. They were both incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the River Fal and its wildlife and the grand estates bordering the river. They were also both very welcoming and great company to share our adventure. We saw seals sunning themselves and myriad birds as we meandered along each reach of the river and a new breathtaking view revealed itself with every bend. The barge is beautifully kept and equipped and very comfortable. We brought a picnic aboard and anchored in a lovely scenic bay for lunch. I even got to take the tiller for the return journey to Malpas! A fabulous relaxed day on the water and in nature, leaving us all feeling refreshed and in awe of the unparalleled beauty of Cornwall. Very highly recommended.

Toby was a great instructor. First time myself and my partner have done this and will definitely be returning. Found a hidden talent! Worth it for sure!

I arrived on Friday afternoon, having planned a weekend away with friends, children and dogs for a long-overdue birthday. We know the Roseland Penninsula well, and wanted to share it's magic with people we had grown up with and known for decades, and 7th Rise delivered in every way.

From the moment you park your car, and then walk-in through fields and down muddy tracks you know you are headed somewhere different. And when you arrive, blinking into the sunlight of an old Woodsman's Cottage, reclaimed from the vegetation you won't be disappointed.

The accomodation is great, made up of a number of Shepherd's Huts, small lodges, and the main house - it's kept immaculate by Izzie and the team. The rooms are warm and cozy, the beds are super comfy. The showers (yes, they're hot and lovely) are outside - as are the loos, the kitchen / cooking areas and even the kitchen sink. Everyone immediately relaxed, refound long-forgotten funny stories and we got on with the task at hand - enjoying a weekend with friends in the woods with good food, great jokes and the odd drink.

I can't recommend staying at 7th Rise enough. It is everything you've been looking for and more.
