What travellers are saying
- LifeLeaderSingapore19 contributionsThe teenage children were reluctant at first to do the trek into the cave but after the visit, they felt that it was a sight to behold and not to be missed.
It is definitely worth a visit. It is an opportunity to burn off the calories after hitting the food trail in Ipoh.Written 31 December 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - SenorAlexxPetaling Jaya, Malaysia48 contributionsStayed here for our company's teambuilding trip. MGR trully is a great place to escape city life and just enjoy the nature, get loads of fresh air, and Durians!! If you want some adventures, white water rafting is just nearby and maybe caving in Gua Tempurung.Written 28 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- MonthewaidNorth Yorkshire, UK22 contributionsHappened upon this little museum while waiting to change buses, It is an immaculate old residence full of highly polished dark period furniture and extending over three levels. Unfortunately little in the way of information was to be found from any notices or from the attendants.Written 16 March 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- KY GKuala Lumpur, Malaysia6,721 contributionsEstimated 2 km for entire trail up and down. Takes about 30-60 minutes. Relatively easy hike with low gradient slopes. Suitable for beginner and kids.
There is 3 peaks with the furthest is highest elevation. Each peak will have some big limestones formation which you can stand on top to take great photos.

- graceleeadamkhooKuala Lumpur, Malaysia5 contributionsThe overall white water rafting experience is wonderful. Mr Samson explained the instructions to us in detailed before we start our session. Mr Nano is our river guide and he is truly amazing! He is very strong to pedal and navigate the boat without us doing any pedalling jobs. He is very agile and responded very fast to pull out one of us who dropped into the water. We like the arrangement where Mr Samson kayak in his own canoe and tag along with our boat to be our lifeguard. Of course, we appreciate that Mr Samson took lots of pictures and videos for us. The overall logistics was well arranged. Thank you for providing us a memorable rafting trip, River Explorer!Written 28 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- pianocelloShah Alam, Malaysia1,170 contributionsI'm sure it used to be more fun in the past with the tram ride and various attractions. Now unless you want to hike, there's just a small time tunnel, a gift shop and a cafe. The ice cream and cakes are really good. Not a must-see but can stop by if in the area.Written 5 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Haziq hassaniIpoh, Malaysia8 contributionsWow fully satisfaction! Without a doubt. 2-3 hours of riding ATV and exploring the wonders of Gopeng’s nature was truly remarkable.
Family-friendly, lots of elements to offer (muddy, rocky road, crossing river, bridge, elevated areas etc) & the service was amazing. Well-trained guides. Always engaging & keep us in check.
They have two trails:
- leisure (suitable to people of all ages)
- adventure (suitable to people who is up for bigger challenge)
Definitely recommend to all people of all ages to embraced this once in a lifetime experience.Written 14 March 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - slayerliverave87Kuala Lumpur, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia21 contributions- Nice Place for nature lover
- Easy to find the location and place really clean and well MAINTAINED.
- Very friendly staff and the owner is super talented.
- Foods are superb and indoor activities provided are fun
- Kids friendly place
- Can improve on :
1. maintaining the bicycle as it looks quite old i.e most of the tyres are already flat as well as numbers of bicycles available not too many
2. Water pressure for the washroom to be increased. Since the concept is glamorous glamping, proposed to install dedicated pumps instead of shared water pumps for the utilities. Water flow are very slow for shower especially during peak time and crowded people.
If these 2 concerns are fixed, the place.can be rated as 5 start =)Written 3 January 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - LinsmoAberdeen, UK12 contributionsHad a great day out with our tour guide, Shaun. He was very well knowledged on all aspects of the trip which included a stop off at a very traditional bamboo basket weaving business operated by husband and wife. We visited a strawberry farm near the top of the mountain, had a terrific lunch at the second town and finally had a very interesting tour of the BOH tea plantation and factory. The scenery here is stunning and Shaun was always suggesting where to take photos and stopped off at various spots. He also conversed with the plantation workers and got them to answer any questions we had. Trip was rounded off with a stop at a rose garden centre, however the heavens opened at this point, so we didn't hang about. All in all a great day. Only thing stopping this being a 5-star is the travelling time from KL, however unless you have a helicopter, you can't do it any quicker ! PS. No forced tourist sales along the way, never once were we put in this position :-)))Written 25 October 2013This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
