Easy to find, free onsite parking, friendly welcome. Also a quiz for kids with a certificate at the end for completing the quiz. The displays are good, and informative. I would say though that it needs updating, maybe some reference to exploration on Mars not only the Moon and the ISS. With a museum card it is worth a visit. Otherwise I wouldn’t find it value to pay the ordinary entrance fee of €16 for an adult and €14 for each child.

Did a detour to see the coast and were really pleased that we did as it is lovely - miles and miles of wide, sandy beach which I imagine is packed in the summer but was quiet when we went. Some nice beach cafes/restaurants along the sands as well as play apparatus for children. Very windy so a good place for the people who were flying kites and amazing to see the huge wind farm out to sea. Behind the far end of the beach are lots of sand dunes which would give good shelter from the wind.

Wonderful sandy beach, great for swimming, walking and being. Just sand, water and dunes - the restaurants are away from the beach. Only minus point is that a price of 1 Euro is charged for the public toilets, which is extortion and encourages people to pee in lots of other places. Bike parking is free, car parking is 10 Euro a day.

Very informative museum telling the story of thise fleeing the Netherlands by many varied and hazardous ways. Well presented and great standard of English. Only the central display cases don't have English
I knew a lot about escape lines but nothing about sailing or canoeing across the Norrh Sea, incredible stories we'll told.
Well worth a visit and my teenage daughter who is not really into military history enjoyed the time with spent there
    Definitely worth a visit

Such a small yet impactful space, filled with comic art and designed to bring awareness and be an enjoyable and educational space. You can see the passion and dedication of these people. Love the staff, they're extremely helpful and eager to talk!

The bunkers were filled in after people started to get hurt in them. However, they have now been excavated by volunteers. They have done a massive amount of work to clear out sand and 'restore' the rooms. You can visit only the museum and get a lot of information, but book a tour as well to see the rest of what has been done. The guided tour (done by one of the volunteers) provides a lot of historical information and explanation of the layout. We visited three sets of bunkers and this was by far the biggest and best maintained. Strongly recommend this for historical information.

Dogs are welcome year round and off-leash on the beach part of Noordwijk south of exit 1 on the Queen Astrid Boulevard - so essentially the part of the beach between Noordwijk and its southern neighbour Katwijk. There are also stretches where dogs are welcome outside the time window of June 1st - August 31st and stretches where they are welcome on-leash. The details of these rules are on the website of the municipality of Noordwijk.

Dogs are also welcome year-round at beach club Bubbels (formerly known as Take-2) and off-season at many more beach clubs. Obviously there will be a lotof dogs at Bubbels and typically they are well-behaved after a tiring run on the beach!

Good to know if you would like to walk your dog (and yourself) on a real expansive beach.

I was so grateful to find this place. The weather was very windy and cold on our first day in Noordwijk, but this place was heaven for my toddler. She could enjoy lots of toys, activities inside and I could drink my warm coffee in the meantime. Amazing place for families.

The small Museum Noordwijk is situated in one of the few remaining historic buildings not demolished during the 20th century.Charming historic buildings like this museum are rare in the large Sea-side up-scale resort of Noordwijk aan Zee.In the same building; VVV Noordwijk provides touristic information. The volunteers working in the small museum were very talkative and friendly and I enjoyed some fine 19th century paintings.Noordwijk Binnen in contrast to the coastal resort offers charming historic architecture around Voorstraat -Oude Sint Jeroenskerk -Lindenplein area.

Klooster is a great event location annex interior design shop in a former church dating back to 1647. On a prime shopping location in the Main Street of Noordwijk on the sea. Very much worthwhile a visit.
