What travellers are saying
- Hermes_NL 🇳🇱Amsterdam, The Netherlands20,003 contributionsThe beach of Noordwijk is very sandy, wide and stretches for miles and miles. It is well facilitated with a wide choice of beach clubs, restaurants and pavillions in different styles - ranging from down-to-earth to loungy to luxurious. My personal favorite is J. van Roon’s! Also plenty possibilities for watersports. There is a large amount of parking but it dies run full on summery days.Written 2 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mary Mavromati1 contributionSuch a small yet impactful space, filled with comic art and designed to bring awareness and be an enjoyable and educational space. You can see the passion and dedication of these people. Love the staff, they're extremely helpful and eager to talk!

Well presented and great standard of English. Only the central display cases don't have English
I knew a lot about escape lines but nothing about sailing or canoeing across the Norrh Sea, incredible stories we'll told.
Well worth a visit and my teenage daughter who is not really into military history enjoyed the time with spent there
Definitely worth a visitWritten 7 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. A pity that you cannot take pictures. Be sure to bring your ID, but no bags on the Shuttle. A few corny jokes that come with experienced guides.Written 28 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - NeilP451Caledon, Canada220 contributionsThe bunkers were filled in after people started to get hurt in them. However, they have now been excavated by volunteers. They have done a massive amount of work to clear out sand and 'restore' the rooms. You can visit only the museum and get a lot of information, but book a tour as well to see the rest of what has been done. The guided tour (done by one of the volunteers) provides a lot of historical information and explanation of the layout. We visited three sets of bunkers and this was by far the biggest and best maintained. Strongly recommend this for historical information.Written 12 May 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Hermes_NL 🇳🇱Amsterdam, The Netherlands20,003 contributionsDogs are welcome year round and off-leash on the beach part of Noordwijk south of exit 1 on the Queen Astrid Boulevard - so essentially the part of the beach between Noordwijk and its southern neighbour Katwijk. There are also stretches where dogs are welcome outside the time window of June 1st - August 31st and stretches where they are welcome on-leash. The details of these rules are on the website of the municipality of Noordwijk.
Dogs are also welcome year-round at beach club Bubbels (formerly known as Take-2) and off-season at many more beach clubs. Obviously there will be a lotof dogs at Bubbels and typically they are well-behaved after a tiring run on the beach!
Good to know if you would like to walk your dog (and yourself) on a real expansive beach.Written 17 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Hermes_NL 🇳🇱Amsterdam, The Netherlands20,003 contributionsKlooster is a great event location annex interior design shop in a former church dating back to 1647. On a prime shopping location in the Main Street of Noordwijk on the sea. Very much worthwhile a visit.Written 14 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- yellowpixelsBoynton Beach, FL1,216 contributionsInteresting tower in the Noordwijk beach . It's big tall and white with a light on the top. - hekpoortheksieMagaliesburg, South Africa1,856 contributionsVery beautiful and detailed , unfortunately it was closed and I could only see thru the glass , however it was enough and the details are incredible , one of the most beautiful churches I have ever seen , it’s small compared to others I have seen in Italy or other diverse countries but it is beautiful .Written 14 November 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - bas kAmstelveen, The Netherlands29,790 contributionsThe small "Streekmuseum Veldzicht "in Noordwijk Binnen is only open in the weekend. These limited opening times are unlike its sister;"Museum Noordwijk" in Noordwijk aan Zee that also opens its doors on workdays.
I enjoyed the information about farmers life in the "Bollenstreek"; the cultivation of herbs and flower-bulbs and the herb-garden makes for a pleasant stroll .
Noordwijk Binnen has some interesting historic architecture at' Lindenhof"-Voorstraat-"Oude Sint Jeroenstoren"Oude Sint Jeroenskerk dating from the 12 century and 19th century Nieuwe Sint Jeroenskerk.
Other than that most of the village feels modern.
Noordwijk aan Zee is not blessed with great architectural beauty but there is a old fisherman's Chapel, old Lighthouse and the before mentioned "Museum Noordwijk" in the only remaining old fisherman's house.
As I visited the museum on a bike trip I could also visit the old church in nearby Rijnsburg and the small atmosperic Spinozahuis.Written 20 September 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
