Beautiful local and overseas photography and quaint little collections of objects like cameras and other bits and pieces to browse. Norm was friendly and informative. He opened for us to have a look as we were not here in a busy period and had given the contact number a call to enquire if open.

Stopped in at this gallery on a drizzly day as couldn't be outside. WOw - what a surprise. There was a national landscape art competition on show - which was great. THen other standing collections were interesting too.
    And all free !!

Recently purchased a pair of Kingfishers and a Black Cockatoo from the collection of woodworks from Town & Country Art Gallery Yarragon. We are so very happy with these and would like to recommend Jo & John from Town & Country Gallery most highly. They both went above and beyond with customer service, unique products & communication. Can't wait to visit the Gallery in person! Thank you both so much!!

Even in wet weather, even during Covid... the locals were covering up and masking themselves and their children to attend this market last Saturday. Whilst it was quieter than usual... it was still buzzing.

This market is held on the fourth Saturday of each month in the Kay Street Gardens. You will clearly see activity of community groups here and there is a large range of local produce on offer. (Although it is a big quieter during Covid)

My neighbour is a huge fan of this market and is forever telling me to try some of the international foods on offer as I lack that sense of adventure.

It is a great excuse to get out early on a Saturday morning and support local vendors.

Wonderful little market. Very good food and plant options here. The food from Gomathy’s Kitchen in the big shed is spectacularly good, very reasonably priced and worth travelling a long way to try. Best spring rolls we’ve ever tasted. Absolutely amazing Dahl and roti too.

This gallery has imaginative pieces that repurpose wood and metal. There is a range of work from inexpensive to larger pieces. The artist was friendly and talked about his work. Highly recommended.

We had a great day here at Lardner Park. Even made some purchases. There was a huge variety of talented people’s work at reasonable prices. Stylish clothing, photography, jewellery, sweets, cakes, leatherwork, books, soaps, macrame, ironwork, woodwork, taxidermy, you name it and it was there. Also so many amazing food trucks, a gourmet’s delight. I look forward to the next one

I finally got there! I was excited to hear that they had an exhibition with Leigh Hobbs ! As it turns out the only reason it's still there is because it didn't get enough coverage when Covid started. Brilliant! It means I get to see it. The exhibit has prints, paper mâché items, scribbled notes and a teapot that he designed. Leigh's work is fascinating... about as fascinating as the man himself. His books make sense if you ever get to meet the man. Somehow as he quietly tells you his personal story, you realise he has made his own experiences come alive.

I have only recently read Leigh's books but ... I found myself laughing out loud on a train recently while I was reading them traveling home. The stories are quirky ( as is the art) and the hidden undertones in his stories touch upon personal experience...so they do endear themselves to you.

Also in the gallery today was Owen Piggott's work... also interesting and the complete opposite to Leigh's. Owen leaves much to your imagination and his work makes you wonder what it would look like in the right environment... it's very subtle.

WHILST in the gallery I could hardly resist the temptation to buy a piece of pottery made by a local artist. Her name was Wendy from memory... and it's subtle and Australian influenced. I really enjoyed my trip here today and the lady at the counter was lovely.

What a delightful creative outdoor gallery full of perfectly curated art by local Aussie artists. Worth a trip from Melbourne. Originality, color and life with a distinctly local flavor. Featuring some excellent artists but I specially dig the work of Grant. His work is beautifully crafted and suits the Australian style. Can’t recommend this place enough. And also great local bakery for a baguette and a coffee. Don’t miss this joint.

Visiting friends in Gippsland I encouraged them to come with me to see Cowwarr Art Space. I had driven past many times and been curious about the history of the building. It is the old Cowwarr Butter Factory which was built in 1918. You can see some of the features of the old factory. It is a big open space perfect for displaying artworks, including sculptures, which combines to give a lovely ambience.
The owner was very friendly and happy to answer our questions. There were many interesting sculptures in the garden also.
    Well worth a visit.

Nice view, delicious cheeses!, outdoor and indoor seating, fantastic service. I came towards closing (check their Facebook for when open for tastings) it was quiet and lovely. I had an absolutely delicious ploughman board and left with a few purchases of the cheeses I liked.

A visit to the gallery and meeting Warren Curry was a highlight of our trip to Port Albert. Not only is Warren a passionate, talented and inspiring artist and gentleman, he is also a long time valued member of the local CFA and a font of knowledge for the Port Albert/Yarram area, and also for the Greek Island of Corfu (where he has led artist tours for the last 21 years). A visit to the gallery is a "must " when visiting Port Albert.

It is very special to have this Gallery operating in Meeniyan. We would not know of our local talent if this Gallery was not open to showcase the beautiful work some people do in the area.
