- Val KPerth, Australia18 contributionsI live in perth and kings Park is a very popular park to visit especially in spring and summer, it's has beautiful views of the city, and a few different picnic parks and adventure places for children, the wildflowers are beautiful in spring and there's a lovely restaurant and Cafe. I always recommend it to visitors.Written 26 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Anne SLeeds, UK600 contributionsThe “free” part of this attraction is really just jewellery shops, the guided tour is the only way to see so much more. We saw the world’s largest solid gold coin, and some very large gold nuggets. You could pick up a 5kg gold bar, find out your weight in gold and strike your own coin. The finale is seeing a real gold bar being poured into a mould.Written 2 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Azza G.Cheras, Malaysia4 contributionsWe went for the Bell Tower Experience Tour and got to ring actual bells! Howard is an amazing guide who walked us through the history of the bells. - Christine PVancouver, Canada315 contributionsThere is a lot of construction going on in the park, there are fences up, with detours and modified pedestrian paths. Looks like it will be a nice project when complete. The park has lovely views of the city, with so many birds, flora, and kangaroos. 4 kangaroos were spotted early evening, they were eating grass and relaxing near the lake in the center of the island. A very peaceful walk. Highly recommend to see such beauty in the city!Written 1 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Andy FDevizes, UK1,397 contributionsThis area is the redeveloped old Perth port area. It's now a mixture of repurposed old sheds/ warehouses and sympatheic new buildings, full of bars and restaurants. There's a huge modern statue, the Bell Tower, a carousel, bus station, shops and a modern ferry port. Very pleasant to walk around.Written 30 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- BradHong Kong, China178,203 contributionsThis is a beautifully arranged memorial centred around a 18 metre tall Cenotaph located along the Ceremonial Walk near the the botanical gardens and eastern end of Kings Park, overlooking the river
The memorial was designed by Sir Talbot Hobbs and dedicated in 1929 in memory of Australian servicemen and women who perished during WWI. It now commemorates those fallen in later conflicts which involved Australians as well. What you will also see in addition to the original Cenotaph are the Court of Contemplation, Eternal Flame, Reflection Pool and ANZAC Bluff Plaque.
Well worth spending a few minutes to pay respects and admire the State War Memorial if planning to visit and spend time in this section of Kings Park.Written 13 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. My wife went to scitec with our 3 grand kid's and as she entered the car park was looking for signage which was very little, of were to park and ticket machines. Not clearly marked that you have to get a ticket. After 2 hours came out to pay at the machine then went to the car and found a fine on her window. City West car park are scamming people by this process. The majority of other car parks pay when you leave. How can you know how long you will spend at scitec and if you pay too much do you get a refund. NO. Disgraceful.Written 16 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- BradHong Kong, China178,203 contributionsOne of the features of Kings Park that we really enjoyed during our recent visit was the Lotterywest Federation Walkway, an arched bridge suspended amongst tall Eucalypts trees and blending into the canopy above.
The bridge is located in the Botanical Garden section of Kings Park and is around 620 metres in length. In addition to nice views of the area trees in sections of the bridge, there are fine views of the Swan and Canning Rivers in the distance.
Well worth making the effort to find and walk the Lotterywest Federation Walkway if planning a bit of time in Kings Park during visits to Perth.Written 14 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dee M55 contributionsIf you visit, make sure you catch the Sunset reflection on the back glass of the Shepherds Door. Another Masterpiece from the Creative talents of Antonio at the Battistessa Studio in the Swan Valley. Love the way that in June/July the actual sunset appears in the Sun and rays of the door.
