Yes, we have visited Roberto and his wife Carolina at their Cantina 2 years in a row, and will again every time we go to Umbria. Simple reason is great wine, great vineyard, great people. They are the most friendly and wonderful people to all their visitors and their wine tasting facilities and experience there is amazing. Sangrantino is Dongini

We stopped here with some friends for a quick winery tour and wine tasting. The farm is beautiful, very neat and upmarket. Elizabetta, our tour guide was very welcoming and friendly and knew a great deal about the history of the vineyard and different wines of the area which we found very interesting. The wine tasting was very generous and we sampled several of their really good wines which we enjoyed with a very ample meat and bread platter. I would highly recommend a stop at this winery to sample and buy some really good Italian wine.

Having been recommended to visit this amazing place, we stopped for a wine tasting without having an appointment and we were blown away both by the building, the setting, the friendly staff and the amazing wines. We were made to feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble, and were able to taste not just the wine but also the excellent grappa they produce here. I would highly recommend this as a superb wine tasting experience

Obviously a very old church with absolutely incredible architecture. It’s free admission and the doors were open. There’s also another section that appears to be older that is located down some stairs to the left of the altar. Very worth checking out if you’re in Bevanga for the day

Roberta and Simona are the sisters at the heart of this operation. They are the third generation to produce olive oil on this land and their heart for the craft and passion for their product is infectious. We had a wonderful tour during which Roberta walked us through the whole process of producing this high quality extra virgen, organic, cold pressed oil. We got to see the trees, the mill and the way every part of the olive is used for oil, for fuel and for heat! This fascinating tour was followed by a tasting of the oil-- and many beautiful local foods which helped to highlight the three delicious oils Olio Ronci produces. The bruschetta featured zucchini, tomato, wild asparagus, eggplant, hummus and artichoke, as well as salumi made from pigs raised on the farm, local cheese and wine. It was a wonderful experience for our family (mother and three adult children) during our tour of Umbria. If you are curious about olive oil, small family farms, or just want a delicious experience, I would highly recommend adding this stop to your itinerary!

Situated in the Piazza Filippo Silvestri, which is Bevagna's main piazza, this church has beautiful old carved wooden entrance doors under an ornate marble archway. The most striking aspect as you enter the church is the elevated altar which sits some 12 white marble steps higher than the church floor. There are two columns of arches on either side of the church, which are supported by columns of pale pink stone. There must have been a wedding in the church recently, because there were bunches of gypsophila tIed onto the ends of alternate pews. This was a lovely light-filled space.

This Medieval tour was the first thing we did when we arrived to Gualdo. it had our whole family laughing and learning. It was interactive where they dressed us up in the old gowns (men and women). Once the tour was over we all enjoyed a beautiful meal that was vegan friendly! lovely company and good wine and it was very interesting to learn about Gualdo in that way. Highly recommend!

Visited Bevagna in July. While a beautiful town, the tourist office is useless, particularly for English-speaking tourists. It is rarely open (following the traditional Italian hours with a long midday break), and when it is open, it does not follow the stated opening hours when calling or visiting in person. It never responded to an email inquiry. We were exasperated about trying to visit the Terme Romane mosaics, which were only available through a guided visit (in Italian only) at very odd and inconvenient times. When we offered to pay the price of the guided tour just to be able to see them for a few minutes, the staff member refused. It is sad that such a great town does not do a better job of allowing tourists to see its great sights.

This very new winery is unpretentious, pure, eco friendly and making incredible wine. Pieter gave us an incredibly enlightening tour explaining his processes, which are purist and come from such a passion for making incredible wine. Bella Fonte makes only two wines that epitomise the flavours of this Umbrian region - a Sagrantino red and a Trebbiano Spoletino white.
Have come away feeling enlightened and impassioned by wine

The guide is a know it all and his humour on the degenation of culture makes the visitors widely uncomfortable (we took the tour in Italian). We han an awful experience and I am not sure the guide is licensed. He gave us no receipt.

We bought a ticket that included all of these. Worth it.

Although the mosaic was a very small exhibition, it was in an old bath house where the mosaic had been created on the floor of the pool. Beautiful design with a sea theme.

The theatre has a story to tell as it’s apparently the setting for a movie that was made there. The little girl in our small group was keen to see the theatre, and she carried the book around with her which told the story of two girls visiting Bevagna, which was the theme of the movie.

The town itself is very small, but oozes charm and history. We found a great little coffee bar on the main square where we could sit and watch the people passing by.
