I'll start with the communication from Ovel. He was quick to respond, kind, informative, and extremely helpful. Was very easy to book. We arrived at the meeting place, and Kyle helped us get our tickets for the ferry and made sure that we got on the boat. Ovel was there too, and it was great to meet him face-to-face. What a gracious spirit he has! Made it to the ferry, wasn't too bad of a ride, and was met by Kenton in Belize city. How do I describe Kenton? His vibe is calm, kind, professional. He got us settled into the van, and gave some great information about Belize and what we would experience as we drove the approximately one hour to hour zip lining site. The zip lining was awesome, and we really appreciated the knowledge and professionalism of the zip line guides who worked there.
Then we moved on to the cave tubing. We arrived, changed into appropriate clothes, and got our tubes. Everyone was very kind and friendly getting us set up. Kenton explained that we had a bit of a walk, and that he would be pointing out things to note as we went along. He pointed out trees, animals, and their importance to Belize and the Mayan culture. Our walk took a little bit longer, because he wanted us to experience everything. We greatly appreciated that. Once we got into the caves, Kenton led us us through a journey of history, rock formations, and encouraged us to use our own imaginations to describe what we saw. It was magical, and we loved how passionate he was in sharing it with us. As much as I loved the caves, I really loved floating on the river towards the end and just experiencing nature. I also want to call out how incredibly helpful, patient and kind Kenton was in helping me navigate when I struggled with some balance issues and a minor unexpected flare up of an old injury. He also went the extra mile to help my husband find a souvenir that he was looking for. He's really a spectacular person, and we are so grateful to him, Ovel and the Ridge And Reef Adventures crew for an unforgettable adventure.
