Very good experience! Highly recommend the horses unless you are a frequent hiker in great shape. The guys at the bottom for horses tried to double charge us so we had to walk down which kinda sucked (nothing to do with this tour). Guide who walked with us up the volcano was the BEST! I wore the worst running shoes with no grip and almost plunged to my death a few times LOL. He held my hand the ENTIRE TIME! We walked back slowly and talked the whole entire time, he didn’t even mind that the group was way ahead. Thank you so much to the guide!!! As for the hotsprings, they were very relaxing. Unfortunately I think they forgot about us at the hotsprings and we were there for like 4hrs and it was pretty late by the time we got back, like 7pm. For everyone saying it’s not actual lava, no it’s not because it erupted so long ago. But it’s still crazy to roast marshmallows from a volcano!

The experience at the Cafe was excellent, as well as the tour. Both the barista and tour guide are very knowledgeable. Would love to take the tour again!

    Serious safety incident
We paid $150 per person for a combination of a chocolate making class, a tour of Antigua and transportation to and from our hotel. I will say the chocolate class was fun but definitely not worth more than maybe 20-25 per person. But the tour itself is the main thing I have an issue with. Given how much we paid, we would have expected a very good tour with lots of stops and a professional guide. Our guide clearly was very knowledgeable about the location but he was unbelievably creepy and flirting with me and my friend nonstop including stroking our arms when he was talking to us, which I don’t know if it’s a cultural difference but it was weird, and he took lots of pictures of us which he said that his tour agency asks him to do so they can use them for the website (this sounds perfectly reasonable) except he accidentally showed us his gallery and some of the pictures he took of us were some really weird angles like one focusing on my friends butt, and I know he isn’t sending those to the agency so why does he want them? He also asked for my number at the end of the tour so he could send us the pictures and I told him I wasn’t really comfortable giving out my number and I no thank you to the pictures and he told me I was being rude. I said I was sorry but I don’t feel comfortable sharing my number and he started asking if I have WhatsApp or Facebook over and over again. Overall I think we overpaid for the experience but especially considering how negative it was and how uncomfortable we were made to feel, I wish we could have gotten a refund.
