Amazing gardens, great views, a waterfall and a mix of old and new stupa and statues.
Rather than admiring enormous golden Viharms of other temples, the site discreetly hides its many treasures in unexpected corners - many surrounded by quiet streams or in small mountain caves.

There is also a shop of inmatas handicrafts and a café on site.
They also have a well priced cafe and gift shop on site run by the women residents

It’s a beautiful site where the Temple and the carving are outstanding.
The temple is beside the road and has no boundary walls to obscure the view and is wonderfully lit up at night so you can see the Buddha inside from away down the street.

There is a wide variance in prices for the same items so you need to do a bit of on-site research first to get the best bargains.
We steered clear of timber or bamboo and anything large awaiting further investigation into cost of a LCL (Less than Container Load) cubic metre shipping space, but there are export agencies on site to help.

WHEN I visited this vast ancient city site I brought a guide and transport and really enjoyed exploring a number of temples in south east Chiang Mai.
The whole site is too large ,The best way to tour around the sites is by hiring a local guide with a pony carriage ( take time around 1Hr)

It is a landmark to reference your location, it is close to many Chiang Mai cultural highlights, and on the weekends there is a wonderful night market.
