This really was an entertaining experience and I can highly recommend as a change away from viewing temples and museums.
We had a great couple of hours here, we we had high expectations as it's a little pricier than most other galleries/museums in Thailand but we definitely felt as though we got our money's worth.

I found it to be one of the most fascinating private museums I have ever visited.
So many cool things to look at (fossils, wood carvings, butterflies, paintings,...most eclectic!), and I loved the personal stories about the couple that founded the museum (him a malaria researcher and her an ent...

I came upon this garden and museum quite by accident.
The showroom is almost a museum.

If you are interested in learning about the rich history and culture of Thailand's northern region, a visit to these three museums is highly recommended.
I recommend the combo ticket with 2 other surrounding museums if you can spare the time.

This was a perfect half-day, low-key, air conditioned activity to do with my children, 7 and 4. The small museum had several wonderful exhibits from which we learned about the Elephant Parade, then we took a tour...
Visited Chiang Mai 10 times and was aware of the Elephant Parade, but this great social enterprise just added a wonderful museum and workshop.

The Ganesh Himal Museum has been one of my most favorite places to visit in the Chiang Mai area, The museum is located about 8 kilometers off of the main highway going through Doi Lo which is south of Chiang Mai.
Very good and interesting museum of LORD GANESHA.

The Lanna Traditional House Museum is part of the Centre for the promotion of arts and culture, Chiang Mai university.
These traditional Lannai houses are just a few steps across the white colonial style building named Lannai Folk Museum.

Outside of my experience as a resident artist I can honestly say that the museum has everything you can imagine related to Lanna culture.
