The small three storey gallery holds surprisingly diverse and beautiful collections of art, textiles and crafts from the northern Vietnam. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. It’s located between the old quarter and Ho Tay lake, only a short walk from either end. Highly recommended to visit!

It is one of the best gallery in Hanoi. The paintings are stunning and the atmosphere is so nice. This is my most favorite painting.

Great tailoring, great experience, great value. Bought two linen blazers, both are great quality and fit well. Took about 5 days, although I was in no rush. Overall, I had a great experience and found the blazers to be good value for the quality. Recommended!

Great night out right on the river never seen so many colours in one place. A must is to release a lantern on the river and make a wish

If you are interested in Vietnamese art, visit this amazing gallery. Henry, the owner is warm, friendly and very knowledgeable. Make sure you go upstairs to see the amazing lacquer pieces! My wife and I made a purchase at this fine gallery and Henry did an extremely good job handling the shipping with great professionalism and communication.

Went to Aeon mall with my partner. We’d been struggling to find sneakers ,size 46, for him in Ha Noi. We went to different stores in the Aeon Long Bien and finally found sizes that fit. The staff at Super Sports were super helpful and very informative on their products. They were also super patient with us. The prices here are same as in the EU especially for western brands so be prepared for that.

I actually went the summer of 2013 but I can’t select that date. They rolled it up for me after I negotiated from $90 to $82 I think… I had it on my shoulder for a few countries, then Hawaii, and back home. Took 2-3 months for it custom framed (3 times the cost of the painting lol) and to get it back to Chicago.

Quite messy with many workers carrying big loads on their shoulders. Lanes are very narrow and hence difficult to navigate when it gets crowded. Apparels are not yup to fashion. One thing that is worth visiting is the ground floor shops selling nuts. Their prices for the cashew nuts there is the cheapest as compared to other shops else where and supermarkets.

I have done some menswear writing, so though I am not an expert I think I know a good suit when I wear one and the customs tailoring at Cazo is spectacular.

I got measurements when I got to Hanoi and picked up my suit roughly a week later and was blown away. Perfect fit in the chest. Perfect length in the blazer and break in pants. Perfectly matching seams. Stylish yet tasteful fitting all the way though. For $400 you can get a suit that would cost you $2000 in some American cities.

The tailor and his team are friendly and delightful to deal with. A joy.

You can find most of flower kinds planted locally in the North of Vietnam here. Price negotiation is a must, and it is fun. Worth a visit!

There is a wet market on the ground floor where you can buy all sorts of fruits & vegetables and some street food. Ground floor is also the place for finished products. We went because I was hoping to find juice silk products instead of buying them in the Old Quarter, alas this is more the place to go but silk fabrics for making your own. Upper floors are all raw goods. But you might enjoy the Pho Hue neighborhood. Much more authentic than touristic Old Quarter.

After visiting many galleries in Hanoi, we stumbled across this gem. The owner, Yen, was the most friendly, kind, and helpful host we had encountered after a long day of art hunting. The gallery had a large variety of art and styles, and Yen was very knowledgeable about each painter and could provide details about their art, and their histories. It was the very beginning of our trip in Vietnam, and we did not want to carry around a large painting. Yen arranged for our paining to be delivered to our last hotel. The painting was packaged perfectly, and Yen provided tracking details to us. Once our painting arrived at the hotel, Yen called to confirm its arrival with the hotel staff and had it put aside for us. When we arrived, it was waiting for us.
Not only was Yen knowledgeable and professional, she was also kind and honest. I had not felt that from other galleries we visited in Hanoi. We will return to this gallery on our next visit to Hanoi. Once our painting is framed and up, I will update with a photo.

After our overnight train journey from Hue to Hanoi we had booked this place for one night’s stay until we moved on to Ha Long bay the following day. We arrived at the specified check in time and were quickly greeted and shown to our room. We had booked the large guest house for up to 20 travellers to find that we had the whole room to ourselves 👍🏼 very clean and traditional looking with comfy beds and fans around the room. The pool area was clean and in good condition with the naturalistic surroundings adding that feeling of seclusion. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would have given 5* if they hadn’t assumed us English guests wanted fried egg on toast for breakfast while other Asian guests got some great looking Pho! (We thought we were going to be given the same) Other than that I would book here again and try to book into one of the cool looking tree houses!
