Our first day in Ho Chi Ming City. So why not just dive in and get with the local’s —culture and food. It was great. Our guide Quyen, met us at hotel for short taxi ride to our walking food tour start point. We did 6 different food locations. The first one is key as you learn about the different tastes of plants used in “spring rolls””and other dishes. While portions are not large, they do begin to fill you up as you add more food locations. You will be able to try many different sauces, learn to build various “ food rolls” and walk thru many local side streets.
You’re gonna be intrigued with the local lifestyle as you walk from food stand to food stand. Note. Street food means pretty much eating along a street or alley. And tables and chairs are pretty much kindergarten height and size.
It’s all part of the “ambiance”. Total walking maybe 1-2 kilometers. Not too difficult. Crossing streets exciting, given hundreds of motorbikes.
Food is good and safe to eat. Yep, rice and noodles are a big deal. Fun to watch preparation.
