I was overwhelmed coming here. The grab driver without notice stopped on the side of the road to have some guy trying to sell me a ticket. It felt dodgy so I refused. Was it legit? I have no idea but was not going to risk it. At the ticketing booth I had no idea what ticket I even needed. As soon as I got to the island via the cable cars (inside the building behind the ticketing booth and Cable cars are included in the ticket) my stress started to dissipate. The ticket booth gave me a map that initially I couldn’t navigate however I got the hang of it.
Initially I walked into fairy land, figure it was for kids and left. I then went into the aquarium which is relatively small but was great. Next was the waterpark which was awesome but I was solo so it was slightly difficult. You can pay for a locker and a towel (towel is like a foot towel size in your bathroom) and u get your deposit back when you return at the end of your session. You put all ur gear in the locker (including the towel as you don’t need it till the end) and ur digital locker key is a wrist band. Here I recommend bringing water shoes as without shoes the ground gets hot! Also you can not wear glasses on the rides as you can not wear anything loose so mine got shoved into my bathing suit. This was all fun however I found it difficult to find the entrances to some rides. There was complimentary popcorn st the entrance that I grabbed as I left and it was yum! There are numerous food stalls inside too.the waterpark and the kinds garden are the two areas that close the earliest (5.30pm). So the next area I went to was the kings garden which is effectively a mini zoo. It was lovely and at the giraffe zone u can buy food and feed the giraffes. This was a great experience. From here I went to do the zip line which was fantastic fun and I am actually quite scared of show rides! Apparently earlier the line was crazy busy and people waited an hour and a half. I was fortunately on within 5 minutes. You can buy photos from the photo booth as momentos. Next I went to adventure world where all show rides are. Half were closed. The mine rail coaster was fun. As part of the island entrance fee you get a $200k food voucher to use at selected stores. I used mine at the end of the evening toward dinner. I had planned to use it coral restaurant buffet but that was closed and it is only open at lunch time. Would I go again - absolutely. There are many service signs to let you know where you are within the park, staying at a hotel resort within the park would be great if you had kids. You wouldn’t see them all day especially teens that are taller than 140cm and can rides without their parents.
