Loved the market tour and we cooked a delicious meal. Santi was a sweetheart and they have got the teaching part well figured out.

I attended Sara’s cooking class during a trip with 3 friends to Kuala Lumpur.
Sara and her mother were so welcoming and made us feel right at home.Sara’s explanations during the cooking class were very clear and informative and all of the dishes (Nasi Lemak, Ayam goreng berempah, Sambal, Kerabu kacang botol, teh tarik, Ondeh ondeh) were very delicious. My personal favorite was the ondeh ondeh, a sweet desert we made with the pandan leaves Sara allowed us to pick right from her garden! Sara also gave us many helpful recommendations on where to go/what to eat and what to avoid for the rest of our stay in Kuala Lumpur. Would absolutely recommend to anybody looking for an interactive and fun cultural experience during their travels.

What an invaluable experience spending a half day with Chef Samuel. He tailored the menu and ingredients to our taste and was a continual source of information and guidance. We learned so much and enjoyed our time with him

Catherine is the most wonderful chef and teacher and makes you feel so welcome in her home. She is so knowledgeable about Malaysian food and culture and we thought so enriched by this experience she was generous with her time her knowledge and the delicious food that she served to us. My only suggestion would be is arrive very very, very hungry because the food is delicious and plentiful. This is just the best experience that any visitor to Malacca could expect and we are so grateful to Katherine and the attention she gave me and my family I must do for Malacca. Thank you. Wendy, Luke, and Hannah.

From 9 AM to 1 PM, I had the amazing opportunity to learn how to cook traditional Malaysian dishes in a local home. Most cooking classes take place in studios, but this was my first time cooking in a local family's house and sharing a meal with them—it was such a unique and special experience!

Before the cooking session, we went to the market together to pick fresh vegetables and ingredients, and we even enjoyed an Indian-style breakfast. Then, we got hands-on and made three authentic Malaysian dishes from scratch. The family members were incredibly kind and provided clear instructions, making it easy for beginners to follow along.

After cooking, we sat down and shared the meal we had prepared. The children, who take English lessons at school, were basically fluent, while the adults spoke both English and Chinese. Since I’m more comfortable with Chinese, I switched between the two languages, making communication an interesting experience in itself!

I highly recommend this program to anyone looking to immerse themselves in local culture. It’s not just about cooking—it’s about connecting with locals and experiencing their way of life firsthand. If I get the chance, I would definitely do it again!

The team were amazing. Great communication and even accommodated the request to learn roti! Rachel and her daughter were amazing tutors and helpers. They even let me take a sample of the food home for my husband. Highly recommend this team.

Drop by on my way to Kundasang. Just an average upside down house. Done the tour in 10 minutes, nothing amazed me but the operator told us NO video or photos allowed due to IP in their creativity :D Paid RM18 as a foreigner for the entrance fee, felt a bit pricey!
