What travellers are saying
- SEO M1 contributionI recently had the privilege of visiting [Faisal Mosque], and it was an absolutely awe-inspiring experience. This mosque is more than just a place of worship; it's a testament to the beauty of Islamic architecture and a haven for spiritual reflection.Written 13 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - InterstellarTravelRedditch, UK188 contributionsThe monument towers over the city and has an incredible viewpoint. Going here you get a sense of the struggle that the country went through for its independence.Written 22 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Megan11 contributionsIt's a wonderful place I visit last year and this place makes me a real fan soon visit again. It is surrounded by flowering trees and has gardens, secluded picnic spots, and a walking path around the lake. It is possible to picnic, fish, and boat in the terraced garden and on the lake. Views of Rawalpindi, Islamabad, the Lake Margalla, and the Murree hills can be enjoyed from the highest point in the garden.Written 17 September 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - John_C_LdnLondon, UK368 contributionsThe view from Daman-e-Koh is lovely on a good day, but the increasing levels of pollution make them almost invisible on many days. It is a lovely spot, now with many stalls selling trinkets and food, as well as a small group of rides for children. There is also an increasing number of wild monkeys - they are fun to see and photograph, but don't feed them or annoy themWritten 7 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MAhnoor AliRawalpindi, Pakistan26 contributionsWell it was a family visit back in 2015.. Sorry there were no options to select year 2015 so selected the last option. We reached there around 3 or 4..visited the temple and then had lunch at the restaurant.. It was such a nice experience sitting close to nature and history. I would love to visit again.Written 11 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- vikskioComblain-au-Pont, Belgium187 contributionsthe museum is at the grounds of a market with local art and traditional clothes, woodwork, paintings etc. especially when there is a exposition/"feria" its a great time to get to see all the local artists and musicians perform. prices are local too, so its a great option to sample anything traditional.Written 25 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Shahrukh ChaudharyKarachi, Pakistan4 contributions4.7 km hike when going to the top. First 1.8 Kms is easy. Next 2 Kms are constant climb and last few hundred meters are just flat. Took 1 hr 19 minutes to reach the top. On the way back I took the other route which was 4 km in distance and took about 42 mins to reach back to the starting point.Written 7 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - bex76Stockport, UK132 contributionsThis is a great museum, expertly curated with lots of interesting artifacts. There are 2 indoor galleries containing lots of historical items, with explanations in Urdu and English. There are also 2 fascinating old railway carriages which you can go inside. The guide provided background information and an explanation and demo on some of the items in the galleries. It's based on a lovely working railway station which adds to the experience. Highly recommended.Written 6 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- khanabid62Islamabad, Pakistan58 contributionsVisit if you intent to have a good view of the capital city. The Islamabad plan in the shape of map was first made on this hill. One side displays presence of national flag with shinning crescent and star hidden in the green environment. The new appearance of the museum and adjacent park is also nice place to visit.Written 8 May 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
