What travellers are saying
- james mHelensburgh, UK11 contributionsA really great experience, that should be high on the agenda if you want to understand the history and development of Bahrain. Well designed building with varied exhibits covering both history and culture, and cheap to enter. It only cost us 1.1BD in July 22 (approx £2.40). Recommended.Written 1 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Been a few placesEpsom, UK1,118 contributionsIf you are a fan of calligraphy or religious texts this is the place for you. A huge collection of Korans, old and new from all around the world can be found in Beit Al Qur'an. As a non-Muslim, I spent a good half hour admiring very much appreciated the craftsmanship and beauty of the penwork which males up the religious texts. Definitely add a visit here to your list if you are looking for a bit of culture.Written 2 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

You will see and learn that oil was first discovered in the Middle east in BAHRAIN...a little known fact.
Before you go, just check that it is open and the daily timing.Written 16 July 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - ilooArabian Gulf117 contributionsCome in at 8pm and the band begins by warming up to old Bahraini songs. The seating is amphitheater style, albeit the room is quite small. A nice way to spend a Thursday evening, just go to Saffron across the street first because by the time you come out they may be closed!Written 23 April 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Two TManama, Bahrain21 contributionsFeaturing old relics that are of interest to philatelists and the general public, a lovely space expertly designed to showcase everything related to BAHRAIN’s postal history.Written 18 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Connoisseur-of-LifeMississauga, Canada1,375 contributionsThere should be a separate listing for the Fort although the two are adjacent and related. This site is reached by motor launch from a dock by the National Museum. The boat ride itself affords a magnificent view of the city. The Pearl Museum is self-guided and actually rather interesting in terms of recounting the history of the economic impact of the industry. The nearby Fort is a World Heritage Site [2012] and while little remains, it is worth the maritime side trip from the Museum. This is a 30 minute diversion with lots of fresh air and many photo ops.Written 10 February 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
