I was flying from Bali to Los Angeles. Stopped at the Singapore Airport.
This must be one of the best airports in the world. Functionality, service, restaurants, water fountain, cleanliness, and sheer class, and is an absolute pleasure to be in transit here. There is plenty to explore inside.
My advice: come to the airport a few hours early so you can spend some time here and enjoy the famous water fountain in the middle, take photos, etc.

It’s a bustling place all the day around. Singapore river where you can book cruise tour for 45 minutes, dine in in one of many restaurants and cafes in the area or do a good walk at the free smoking garden. At night, enjoy the beautiful lights reflected in the river.

Marina Bay Sands is an amazing structure, they call it also Three Towers or Tree Towers. On the first floor, it is a big mall where you can find all prestigious brands and great restaurants. Free Wi-Fi.

Great mall, lots of food options, lots of designer and non-designer brands, very well connected to MRT and you can take the boardwalk to Sentosa island

Such a huge central shopping mall where you can find all what you need. Two opposite buildings, one for gold and diamond and the other for all shopping groceries, dresses, shoes, guitars, perfumes and many others. Considerable as fine prices as per Singapore’s standards.

As soon as you arrive you have the big decision. What will I eat tonight? It’s busy at night but you can find a table if you keep looking. It’s warm inside but there are fans on the ceiling. We ate here twice. Good value and very tasty meals. Worth a visit for sure.

My wife was keen to sample the original Singapore Sling cocktail. You certainly pay for the experience at $38 each. However my wife certainly had no problem enjoying & savouring it. We chose to sit outside at Raffles Terrace as the queue for The Long Bar was quite a wait and no problem being shown to a table straight away outside. Service was great and given a large bowl of monkey nuts to enjoy also. Definitely worth an explore of the hotel to take in the splendor.

Largest mall complex in Singapore - it claims to have 300 plus stores. During the day many nearby workers frequent the mall - for meals (there are over 100 restaurants) and for shopping. You can find just about anything you need - from dental care, a facial to electronic gear. It is a bit overwhelming but easily walkable. Since it is completely indoors and air conditioned, I appreciated being able to walk around since Singapore was experiencing many rain storms.

Taking a break from my long-time-favourite, Kitsune Ebi Udon, I patronised Maguro Yukimitsu at Takashimaya food hall for the first time. I ordered the Ume Sushi Set which is wonderfully fresh n delicious. My experience would have been perfect if the staff on duty at counter were to bother to thank all their customers for self-returning their trays after eating. But, the staff just watched without initiating to thank the gracious customers.

This is the local mall for people staying at the Carlton Hotel, Swissotel, Stamford or, indeed, the famous Raffles Hotel. It's not a large mall but has some interesting shops and lots of eating places especially in the basement area. There's also a very popular German restaurant on the outside of the mall. Worth a visit.

We had a great time learning how to taxidermy. It’s a fun, comfortable, educational environment! Highly recommended for young and old!

Great food. Cheap and lots of variety, Singaporean, Chinese, Turkish, Indian, etc. Satay Street is a bustling crowded area with delectable smells. Vendors are pretty passionate about getting you to dine. Honestly, the Satay sticks were our least favourite food at the hawker markets. The noodles and dumplings were awesome. Lots of dishes that we wanted were not available. Regularly told that they had sold out but that also happened when the markets were just setting up so be prepared that favourites may not be available. Still, heaps of choice. Beer is pricey but that’s Singapore! Don’t even think about wine. It clearly is not a thing at street food places. Beware that some stalls, especially the Satay ones will only take cash! We dined here most nights.
