- snpkelleyUniontown, OH490 contributionsWe stayed right on the beach and it is the most beautiful place I’ve ever been! We snorkeled right off the beach and it was like an aquarium. We were on the south end is it. Absolutely stunningWritten 17 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - John S5 contributionsThis family run business gave us a great tour of the lagoon. We had multiple stops for snorkeling to see coral, tropical fish, sting rays and sharks. Throughout the tour we had live music and singing from the captain, grandpa and Max. A filling lunch on a motu was followed by swimming in the lagoonarium with lemon sharks. The tour circles the island with your guide pointing out various points of interest. This tour was one of the highlights of our trip in the South Pacific.Written 16 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - drew dBeacon, NY515 contributionsSpectacular view of the 2 bays with the mountain in between. Locals selling their goods, chips made from breadfruit are delicious.Written 27 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sandra DChicago, IL262 contributionsGreat way to go from Tahiti to Moorea. It is a quick and easy way to get to Moorea. It is very reasonable. I paid about $18 for a one way ticket.Written 14 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- stephenm233Kingwood, TX133 contributionsOh WOW! This is a must do tour. After many twists and turns up very steep sides of the mountain, the jeep reached the top and told us to walk a few steps to the lookout point. All I can say is, Oh WOW! Make sure you do this!Written 14 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

Dinner was good, I thought the English translation was pretty decent (you are in a French speaking country). Show was good, our six year old was exhausted by the time it ended at 10:30. We drove ourselves and it was a long dark drive home. I’m glad I went, I would recommend going.Written 26 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- ROCruiserClaremont, CA4,655 contributionsCan't miss this if walking around downtown area. A busy but clean place to shop and eat. All the fresh fish and fruits looked tempting. Souvenirs can be had here with plenty of vendors selling different wares. It's also colorful so a good place for photos.Written 26 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Visalia11255 contributionsWe went there on a Tuesday afternoon. Only a few snorkelers were there. Large grassy area with coconut palms. No amenities that we saw. We have snorkeled all around the island and feel snorkeling was best here. Calmer water- very clear- great variety of fish. Water not to shallow which is a problem at some placesWritten 6 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - 2pctmilkHouston, TX45 contributionsAfter our Regent tour to the nearby Aquarium Gardens was sold out, we decided to book a Blue Lagoon tour with Kaimana Tours at the dock. We had low expectations since it was a replacement tour and hadn’t heard of them. There were a few issues: bumpy one hour boat ride, and an unnecessary stop to fulfill the “full day” obligation for the tour, but the Blue Lagoon was absolutely glorious.
The location is teeming with reef sharks and Kaimana provided an incredible lunch on their private island with same-day caught Grouper, coconut bread, and rum punch. The water hue is an azure/saphire/cerulean dream. Kaimana also took us via a smaller boat to a perfect location for snorkeling (they provided equipment). Total cost was $150 per person.
The “unnecessary” stop was another private beach with a ceremonial burial ground and a palm hat-making demonstration. But the Blue Lagoon by far exceeded our expectations. I didn’t realize those colors were even possible! As a side note the itinerary may change from one tour to the next as far as the second stop due to weather conditions. Don’t pay attention to whiners like “Amanda M” on this platform, just bring a book if you somehow think you’ll get bored with more sharks and fish than one can imagine.Written 17 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Brian DDenver, CO2,393 contributionsThe nicest, most well-kept, marae you'll find in French Polynesia. This one is huge! There are signs to help interpret what you are viewing at each location within the marae. Even better, there are QR codes on each sign, so you can pull up the description on your phone in your language. Most interestingly, this marae was a "feeder" for the other marae throughout the other islands. This means that the stones located here were used to provide validity to the other marae by ensuring that at least one stone at every marae came from this location. On top of the importance of this marae, you'll get the chance to take in more breathtaking views all around. A must-see place to visit while in Raiatea.Written 30 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
