- The World is My OysterOrlando, FL19,511 contributionsReally neat design, with a Gothic look about it. Reminded me of some of the churches in Prague and Budapest. The inside is also really pretty with some great artwork. They also have the head of Jesus from a statue that crumpled down during their last major earthquake.Written 4 December 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - minimize940314Los Angeles, CA3,357 contributionsThis place is guarded by soldiers but do not be afraid. You can talk to them that you are here to take a look at the map of El Salvador then they will let you in. The map shows every tourist attraction so it would be good place to review the places that you would have visited.Written 5 January 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LolaGo1Washington DC, DC5,820 contributionsLocated infront of the Cathedral, it is always busy with people. It has the statue of Barrios riding on a horse. It was around Christmas time when I visited so the decorations are related to Christmas. There are benches to sit down, take a break and just watch people go by.Written 14 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mynor ADarmstadt, Germany86 contributionsMetro centro is really close from several hotels in the zona rosa. There are luxury stores and movie theaters inside. The tall monument has a statue of an angel standing on the globe, statue of a lion, plus some inscriptions. The monument is several large plaques that have everyones name who was killed or die throughout these suffering times. Reminded me a bit of the 9/11 memorial in NYC.Written 4 December 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- The World is My OysterOrlando, FL19,511 contributionsI took a walking tour in San Salvador, and it started with a walk through Cuscatlan Park. My guide Estafanie gave me a great tour, and the history of the monument there. The 12 year Civil War memorial is absolutely beautiful, and shows every person who lost their lives throughout these dreadful times. I highly recommend walking though the Park and check it out.Written 4 December 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
