We enjoyed our time abroad red cat catamaran. I thought it would be more crowded but there were just a few guests. There was plenty of food and open drinks. If you are expecting crystal clear and warm sea water this is not the right tour for you but it was definitely worth doing if that is not what you are expecting. I would do it again.

Right from the pick up at the hotel it was a great experience. The driver was an excellent driver and super patient as there was some mix up on where to pick up two of the people. The drive is so crazy, it was literally like a roller coaster. The road was paved which was really nice. We stopped for bathroom break and snacks a third of the way. So make sure you have cash. The boat ride was so fun and our guide Juan was amazing. The islands are so beautiful and the water is so unbelievable! Visiting the community was a unique experience and it’s hard to believe people still live like that. Save some cash for the community. We are so glad we did the tour. We would totally recommend it. You have to climb in and out of the boat so if mobility is an issue you might not want to do this tour.

We had a great time. There were 4 others plus the guide so the vehicle had lots of room. Our guide (can’t remember his name) gave a great history of Balboa and the canal on the drive to the boat. The boat ride was really good, they could see thing you would never notice. We got to see a crocodile laying in the sun, an up close with a Capuchin Monkey, a grey Herron, Howler Monkeys and multiple lizards. It’s the wild and there are no guarantees you will get to see them, so I was excited to have a capuchin come on to the boat. On the ride back we saw two different container ships going through the canal.
The butterflies, frogs and sloths were great as well. I saw comments about the conditions the sloths are in but I didn’t see an issue. They are the experts and I know this raises money for what they do. I was very impressed with the amount of plants they grow and replant. Our guide through this was Juan and he was very informative.
    I would recommend to everyone

I spent a week in Panama and did one tour each day from Monday to Friday. This tour was my last on Friday and was the perfect way to end the week. The pickup from the hotel was on-time and Albertos is a very experienced and knowledgeable tour guide who made sure to provide of with lots of information throughout the journey. This tour was part car, part boat and part walking all at a nice pace so you didn’t feel rushed. We saw monkeys (up close), caiman, sloths, butterflies and frogs among others.

Tip: the hotel where you stop first to use the bathroom sells laminated bird, mammal, and butterfly guides for $15 each. Be sure to buy some before heading out so you’ll have a reference especially for the bird watching walk through the area near the hotel after the visit to the butterfly and frog exhibits. These also make nice souvenirs.

If I visit Panama again I will definitely look into staying at the Gamboa hotel in the reserve area to do more bird watching.

We booked the half-day city tour. We thought it was a group tour but ir turned out to be a private tour which was definitely a plus. The tour guide was very nice and helpful.

The tour was amazing! We were able to see 3 different types of monkeys as well as seeing the incredible canal and a crocodile. There was a large group of us which can sometimes be difficult but the guides, Richard, Jesse, and Yasser were brilliant. Would certainly recommend!

Really fun time, crew were great. Trip back became a dance party for the 90 mins with all joining in. People mingled well and had good conversations. Food was pretty good considering it was pre cooked - chickem=n on the bone with rice and Cole slaw. For information, there is a toilet on board that was clean. Didn't see any fish at the swimming spot, but great to cool off and float in the water. Taboga town doesn't really offer any real things to see or do, but it is interesting to walk around and feels safe. The two beaches are pretty crowded and have plenty of snack / bars.

Jennifer, our wonderful guide/driver was truly outstanding. Her knowledge of history added to our enjoyment of the day. She arrived on time to pick us up at the W Hotel, was an excellent driver and spoke English well.

Considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Industrial World, the Panama Canal provided passengers on the Zaandam a unique opportunity to cruise between the Caribbean and the Pacific Ocean. The ship traveled the full length of the canal using all three sets of locks. The highlights are Lake Gatun, the Gaillard Cut along the Continental Divide and three locks: Gatun on the Atlantic, Pedro Miguel and Miraflores on the Pacific. Along the way is Gatun Lake, once the largest manmade lake in the world. There are three bridges in the canal passage. The first is the Atlantic Bridge, the second the Centennial Bridge, and the third Bridge of the Americas. It was amazing to watch how the Pedro Miguel locks lowered us 30.5 feet whereas the Mira Flores 54 feet. Special Panama Canal pilots boarded the ship and assumed full control of it. The transit took 8+ hours. The engineering that went into the construction and operation of the canal locks is incredible. What a sea day!

We were two Canadian couples that were extremely pleased to have lucky got Enrique for our guide. Great english and French speaker. Very knowledgeable and entertaining narrative throughout the tour. I would highly recommend this fascinating jungle and wildlife experience in the heart of Panama City.

The transit and learning about the canal was amazing. The part that could be improved was our pickup. Scheduling was great, however our driver didn’t speak much English so one of the guests translated for us. We also arrived at the boat first but were the last people to board due to not having our wristbands. The boat was large so people moved around so we did get to sit or stand in different places throughout. Lunch was very nice. Overall experience was well worth it.

Local owner of Panama A La Carte, the best tour guide I've had the pleasure of discovering with in a long time! Enrique, thank you so very much. Our time with you is memorable. We had fun, and enjoyed the little treats along the way, the pineapple is unbelievable tasty and seeing sloths by the roadside was a bonus. We really appreciate your depth of history and passion for what you do. Can't wait to be on another excursion ith you.

Had very good time with our tourguide Mario. Hiking tour won't work for you if you are not fit at all. Zoo and frog place was nice but the hike was our absolute highlight incl. a short swimming break in a waterfall. Spa place was also nice.
