I took some photos of the Riverwalk from the Festival Plaza near the intersection of Court and Main Streets. The plaza is empty this time of year and was quite a contrast to how vibrant it is during the warmer months when there are festivals and concerts. The riverwalk itself is always nice (not so much in the cold weather, though).

This was a last minute trip with my 6 y/o twins. They love rocks and our initial reason for the visit was to check out the rock mining but they ended up loving the trails, scenery, and quite honestly, the mica and quartz they were finding on the trail itself. The entrance looks completely prohibited but rest assured, once you park by the ball fields, walk past the Army National Guard signage, and go directly into the woods. The trails, once there, are clearly marked. Open dawn until dusk on most days. Plenty of other walkers with dogs on these trails periodically.

Side by Each was great when I stopped by on a visit, from my evening flight of beers to a morning latte and scone. Everything I tried was delicious, and the menu had a large variety of choices. You could tell the locals liked it, and there were events at night if you wanted to join. I can’t wait to see what creative new brews they have when I visit again!

Well done performance and I was pleasantly surprised on how polished the play was presented.
Seating cant be improved as it is a reconstructed school building but once I got accustomed to it, I adjusted.
They have a few more plays this fall so check them out.
My five your old granddaughter had to sit on her Mom's lap and another one stood and sat on the arm of the chair since she wasn't next to the wall and didn't block anyone's view.

We didn't expect to see a 'beach' in Auburn since it's not on the coast, and the word 'beach' evokes a seashore beach, but this lake beach is really nice. We were in the area and just stopped by to check it out. Great views. The nice thing about a lake beach is that you don't get all that itchy salt on you.

Three families met for hockey tournament for youth. The facility is amazing for the area where it is located with two full size rinks. The seating was spacious as well as tables and chairs in the heated area. There was food available for that type of setting. The activities were handled in a professional manner as well.

Although I grew up in the Portland area, I'd never heard of Fox Ridge until I came home for a visit in July. After playing here, I can't imagine why. It is a very nice course.

After six inches of rain on the previous three days, it played a lot longer than the 6300 yards from the blues, but the course was in great condition from tee boxes through the greens.

Fox Ridge provides lots of different challenges. Uphill and downhill holes, doglegs left and right, blind shots, forced carries. There's water and sand, and a 190 yard island green. Pace of play was good as well. The foursome I followed finished in 4.5 hours - without any prompting.

The course had relaxed most of the COVID restrictions by early July, as Maine moved into the green phase. Masks were still required in the proshop and restaurant.

Unfortunately, there were three maskless guys shedding whatever in the proshop and the restaurant when I came in to get water for the ride home. Proshop and restaurant staff served them anyway.

The course gets 5 stars, but because my health/safety was disregarded, Fox Ridge only gets 4.

Took a walk with my dog and saw various people walking, jogging or bike riding. Found some areas with little known facts of the area that were unknown by the locals!

This mall is small and mostly empty. It is VERY outdated and stuck in the 90s, honestly it gave me a depressed, abandoned, dystopian feeling.

The stores that stuck out to me are:

Super Shoes, which have a decent selection of adult shoes and outdoor clothing, the selection of bigger kids shoes is very lacking. The whole store was 20% off which was great, I was able to buy my son school shoes and a jacket for a good price. I was NOT able to find my 12 year old shoes here, he is in larger kid sizes and they just didn't have much of anything other than adult sizes and little kid sizes.

Olympia Sports which was WAY overpriced.

Bath & Body Works which is a typical B&BW and was the most updated store in the place.

JC Penney which has a Sephora stand in it. Limited shoe section there (that was the purpose of our trip to this mall, looking for shoes for my kids).

Spencer's which was closing down early when we were there for some reason.

Another main stream shoe store which had also closed early, limiting our choice of where to shop.

There was an active small arcade, similar to a small Chuck E Cheese, and what looked to be a laser tag place that was closed (not sure if it is closed for good or not).

My husband found a comic book store that he said was cool.

There is a restaurant in it called Thatcher's, that looks like some wood paneled lodge club from the 90's, next to that was a mirrored wall, extension seating area, totally empty.

No food court, the whole place is very small which wouldn't be a bad thing if it were full of open stores. There is an old DEB store with a busted up sign still over the door, full of liquidated furniture, with a number to call to purchase, and many empty stores that look to be filled with overstock motorcycle storage.

Honestly this mall made me SO anxious I was almost running to get out of it, it may be one of the most depressing places I've ever been.

I don't understand why some stores in the mall are allowed to close so early, (it was 4 or 5 pm) the point of going to the mall is to have access to a bunch of open stores in one building.
