- Corinne Goudreau3 contributionsAlpena adventures is owned by an awesome guy who not only wants to provide a service but went above and beyond his call of duty. We went out on Huron for part of a girls weekend float and he not only snapped pics after we all got in the water but also went out of the way to get us when the lake got too rough. He was passionate about helping us explore Alpena too! We got stories and tips on where to visit for other cool nature adventures. He made us feel welcome in his hometown and we will never use another livery in Alpena!! Plus he has a boat in the marina you can rent as a B & B and stay right on the water!! - YpsiSteveLos Angeles, CA49 contributionsThere was a group of us who went here for a scuba diving trip. There are awesome shipwrecks and the lodge was really nice. The lodge was a refurbished lighthouse keepers cabin. The accommodations were rustic and really nice at the same time. The cabin has no running water or electricity, and the Cell service is very spotty. This is what was expected. - Julie EYpsilanti, MI6 contributionsThe 2 ladies that work at the Alpena Visitor's Bureau are extremely kind and also super knowledgeable about the Alpena area. Gave advice and both ladies were super compassionate about my situation. I visited this facility on 8/20/2021.

We caught a lot of fish, my son caught a huge Lake Trout. The boat is clean, modern and we felt very safe. Captain Larry is a lot of fun and really knows the hot spots.
