What travellers are saying
- AhWahXiamen, China139 contributionsThis is the main highlight in Fuzhou. A must go to for all first timers to Fuzhou. The place can be crowded and a great place for a night stroll.
The buildings r all filled with businesses selling touristic charms like pendants, keychains etc. There is also a Starbucks hidden in an old building too, nice.
Overall, a v touristic place that can be enjoyed for shopping and coffee.Written 25 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It provides an illustrative chronology of Lin and tells how he made an impact in late Qing and beyond. The whole complex is well-maintained and is a perfect example of Fujianese architecture in the Sanfang Qixiang area. - MattwalesNorthWalesChengdu, China2,163 contributionsThe ancient heart of the city, heavily restored and dedicated as a hospitality area. - KodoDrummerBuenos Aires, Argentina65,207 contributionsAlso know as Drum Hill and Gushan Mountain. It got its name because some of the rock formations at the hilltop are drum like shaped. There are over 2,000 steps on the ancient pathway to the hilltop. It is c Buddhist holy mountain, and home to Yongquan Temple and seven pavilions.Written 12 October 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - KodoDrummerBuenos Aires, Argentina65,207 contributionsLots to sightseeing and photo opportunities in this 860 hectare national park. Said to have the highest oxygen content air in Fuzhou. Nice hiking paths. Rated as one of China's top ten forest parks. A few visitors were having picnics.Written 11 October 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- doublewongsSingapore, Singapore35 contributionsGreat place for an evening stroll. Safe, good clean air and surroundings. - Aree_FooySingapore, Singapore79 contributionsLiterally Gold Chicken ⛰️, it’s a free park where a lot of the locals go for their walks. But be prepared there are lots of steps to climb. However, there are various entry points to the park (see maps attached). The southern 南gate is where the main carpark and walking slopes are located
In winter, there’s not much flora to see, but the air is cool and the rain drizzles every now and then. In the mornings, the park is brimming with noise and activities like Chinese and Latin Zumba classes, Chinese dance, Taichi.
There are some nice vantage view points of Drum Mountain and Fuzhou City. You can see this when you walk along the boardwalk bridge (solid brown line on map). The grey lines are the “jungle” paths and have usually more steps.
The other two worth checking out are the waterfall, and the sky bridge.
Tip: Avoid the crowd during the off peak hours after 10am.Written 21 November 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Housed in a historic house in Fuzhou's Sanfang Qixiang area, it showcases the essence of Fujianese artworks. Unfortunately a large part of the exhibition gives way to the photos of Xi Jinping, who was the provincial leader of Fujian in the 1990s.
