This was one of the most outstanding museums we have ever visited.
The museum is well-maintained and there is a good variety of materials i.e. artifacts, photos, videos which will keep you engaged and well-informed about the history.

The museums really large and so comprehensive with exhibits dating back thousands of years to much more contemporary art pieces.
Full museum, with incredible displays, cool interactive games on ipads that my school-age kids loved, and something for everyone- maps, jade, ceramics, military uniforms... and that was just in 1 section!

Nice museum not to crowded and gives some interesting views on silk, the manufacturing and the trade.
Moreover, this small visit to the museum can conveniently be combined with visit to adjacent China Audit History Museum and a nice walk on the pathway along Hao River.
Well worth making the effort to visit this fascinating museum.
I highly recommend this museum, especially for history buffs.
