- DoYouLikePinaColada☀️7 contributionsFab day out!
Winner for all ages of our group ( 55-8 ) especially the children loved it.
Lots of walking so be prepared and if you can take as little things with you as possible as it was hard carrying a bag with towels and water in. Several food choices there too - we had an amazing meal on the water!Written 24 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Such a variety of hotels catering for all budgets, bars and restaurants of all types - Turkish, Indian, fish, etc. Not particularly cheap - especially for alcohol. We found that if the exchange rate went in favour of sterling, the alcohol prices would go up! Great beaches as long as you avoid the paragliders landing on top of you! Beautiful lagoon with such blue water. Definitely recommend.Written 14 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Museum was closed for renovations which was disappointing.Written 9 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Tom083Broseley, UK264 contributionsWasn’t far to take the car after visiting Saklikent, but well worth a short visit. Not a huge amount of information, but very interesting nonetheless. 60lira each so not a lot to part with.
Amazing views from the top; unfortunately the stadium/amphitheater areas were out of bounds due to building work. The gentleman who runs the shop was very knowledgeable and passionate to share information (wouldn’t even take a tip from us!).Written 3 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Svelt B3 contributionsWorth going to for some quality out of the sun shopping. I particularly loved the Genuine Fake Watch shopWritten 15 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Trail79159658 contributionsYou can walk there from the old town water front. It is a beautiful photo opportunity of the whole of Fethiye and Calli's Beach. Fethiye Castle ruins are a great view when up the tombs too. Quite a few concrete steps up without guardrails so need to be careful. Small entrance fee to walk up to the top Tomb.Written 26 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Maddie M5 contributionsThis place is such a beautiful spot, during the morning and evening it’s a peaceful place to relax, read a book, enjoy good food and of course swim in the ocean with it being only 2 minutes walk away. We stayed in a glamping tent for 2 people, and it was worth the extra money. The food that was catered for everyone (had to pay extra) was so incredible, both dinner and breakfast, so many options and really yummy Turkish food!
Unfortunately I was let down by a few things though. The Instagram and website for this place advertised incredible “community feel” with events every night but this was not the case. We asked to join “free yoga everyday” and the yoga instructor was away. We asked to join the “everyday kayak excursion” but the kayak instructor was away. We went to the rock bar for “evening family drinks” and the bartender was drunker than everyone and didn’t even offer us a drink (when he did, the only option was warm beer).
Although the staff met us on arrival and showed us to our tent, they didn’t offer wifi, or any information on the campsite other than toilets. They said to join the WhatsApp group which had no info in it and no one responded too if we asked questions. They didn’t seem to own the brand that they’re portraying online and on social media which is a shame for someone who travelled so far to see this place and be involved in the “community feel”.
On top of this, every day at 11am and 3pm there are hundreds of very loud and obnoxious party boats that arrive at the bay and play loud music, and are full of disrespectful tourists which is a shame. I understand this is probably not Butterfly’s Valleys choosing, but very sad!
I would still come again as it’s a beautiful place but a few small improvements would make it a very special place.Written 15 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This town has plenty to offer and prices get cheaper the further away from the port you walk! When you see all prices in tl you are out of the tourist section and the prices are a lot less here! Also the carvings in the cliff face is a must see and imagine how this was completed all those years ago
We also passed through this town from a boat trip in the evening and it was all a buzz and lit up everywhere and you dont have to worry about safety it felt very safe so if you have a few hours take the trip and enjoyWritten 26 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tge market is huge, so give yourself time to walk around. There are a lot of stalls selling handbags wallets etc. Look round first before buying, and always haggle. Good day out.Written 12 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Peter ANewport, UK21 contributionsWhat a beautiful place and a must visit. Best beach with Billy having a brilliant bar and food available that is reasonably priced for all. You can have a complete relax on the beach and a swim in the lagoon, if your lucky will see the turtles also. Looking forward to returning. The iced coffees and milkshakes are superb.Written 15 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
